Update from the mortgage broker, Nationwide have confirmed they are currently assessing our valuation report it can take up to 3 working days. So that would be close of play today. She expects an update by close of play Wednesday.
This is similar to what she said on Friday but moved back 2 days grrrr.DFD September 2017

Email confirmation of mortgage offer - 29th June 2017

Does anyone have any experience with Nationwide, we're in Scotland so I know the process differs
09/06 - DIP agreed
23/06 - Offer on house accepted
29/06 - Full mortgage application submitted (through broker)
30/06 - text from nationwide confirming received application
03/07 - text from nationwide 'the valuation has been rescheduled to .(blank)'
What happens now? Is the above text just standard as I believe we don't usually have a valuation in Scotland as this is included in the home report
Can anyone advise please when we're likely to hear any more
Thanks0 -
Thought I'd join in haha.
30/6/17: DIP given from Aldermore
30/6/17: Offer accepted on property
03/7/17: Mortgage Application accepted and survey paid for..
Early days 0 -

May 29th - decision in principle including credit check from Santander
June 16th - meeting with broker and mortgage selected. Gifted deposit letter to be completed
June 19th - mortgage broker will be submitting full application
June 21st - Santander completed valuation
June 22nd - Help to Buy people needed me to amend the equality demographics section, went back via broker.
June 27th - Authority to Proceed received :T and reservation fee paid to developer
June 27th - Correction on direct debit form for lender sent back via broker (I assume this is a good sign???)
June 30th - still waiting to hear. Not sure if lender has received completed valuation report as yet. Nervy times...
July 4th - text message received from Santander - Offer Issued!
Awaiting details :-) I assume we would know already if they had valued the house lower or anything like that.

bevvy we got the blank text as well. I spoke to our broker who then spoke to Nationwide, the valuation had been provisionally arranged and team has called/left a message for the vendor who had yet to confirm. We never got a follow up one, our broker confirmed the details.DFD September 2017

23/06/17 - Natwest asked broker for proof of new address, sent through docs same day.
30/06/17 - Broker confirmed that Natwest had accepted our application and offer will be sent out on Mon 3/7.
I did not think that we would get a high street lender, so pleased it's all gone through with little hassle and a reasonable rate.
04/07/17 - Offer received from Natwest.
So 3 and a half weeks total from application to offer.0 -
Hi all,
Just wanted to add our experience to this thread as I've been skimming for the last couple of weeks. This is for all the people who may have concerns about their credit etc. Partner and I both have poor credit records (1 disputed default, few late payments etc.) - scores both under the 500 mark. We inherited a large lump sum and reserved a new build (£280k) with HTB last Saturday (24th June).
June 24th - Halifax AIP
June 24th - Reserved New Build Plot (DWH)
June 26th - First discussions with broker including subject of continuing with the AIP we had gained.
June 28th - Application to HTB
June 29th - Authority to Proceed
June 30th - Mortgage application made (hard credit search on our Experian reports went in at this point)
July 3rd - Informed application was with underwriters.
July 4th - Underwriters confirmed they were happy and valuation has been instructed.
I know nothing is yet guaranteed, but it appears that given the right broker and honesty up front, plus the exceptional circumstances of being able to put down a lump sum alongside HTB and taking a 65% mortgage, the lenders are reasonable and will try to understand your situation. We're hoping things continue as smoothly as they have done so far, and will be sure to keep this post updated.
Just also want to say thanks for all the advice that is posted here. It has helped understand the process of buying our first home.0
