Thanks Betsycat. Text message received to say they have received our valuation report and will be in touch. So at least are one step closer. Fingers crossed. X
Congrats to all that got good news xx0 -
Employer forms being submitted to Nationwide via broker today (it took 3 days for someone to fill them out). Nationwide have our valuation so I hope whatever the outcome we will have news very soon.0

Valuation was carried out yesterday, surveyor said no problems and the report would be with Nationwide during the afternoon. I've had nothing from Nationwide yet...hurry up...I'm so impatient :-)DFD September 2017

Our timeline was:
- Submitted for mortgage application with Nationwide: 2nd June
- Valuation and HomeBuyers survey: 27th June
- Offer received by email: 29th June
We had a long wait between submitting application and booking in the the valuation/survey - that was the hardest bit! They said they were swamped and that was the earliest they could do.
Other than that it's all been very straightforward, although we did have a great broker (in the end)0 -
Fingers crossed for you sugar cube hopefully you don't have to wait much longer x0

I've had my broker chase it up with Nationwide they have confirmed that the valuation report has been received and covers the purchase price and that we should expect a further update by close of play Monday. Fingers crossed it's an offer.DFD September 2017

I guess I can join this thread now...!
We had our meeting with our broker today and he doesn't have any concerns about anything we discussed so I suddenly feel more optimistic that we may be able to buy a home to call our own.
Also had a really positive chat with our current landlord who seems happy for us to have some flexibility going into the next few months.
May 28th - provisionally reserved plot (new build)
May 29th - decision in principle including credit check from Santander
June 16th - meeting with broker and mortgage selected. Gifted deposit letter to be completed
June 19th - mortgage broker will be submitting full application
Aiming for exchange in mid August to move in October/November sometime!
Still ticking along here.
Application went in June 19th along with the HTB application.
June 21st - Santander completed valuation
June 22nd - Help to Buy people needed me to amend the equality demographics section, went back via broker.
June 27th - Authority to Proceed received :T and reservation fee paid to developer
June 27th - Correction on direct debit form for lender sent back via broker (I assume this is a good sign???)
June 30th - still waiting to hear. Not sure if lender has received completed valuation report as yet. Nervy times...0 -

We have had past credit issues (Multiple defaults due to drop off between now and Sept, 8 in total and late payments from the same period) and I am director of Ltd co. so we engaged the services of a broker. We had spoken to him before progressing with our house sale, and he was confident that he could place us somewhere (high street if possible, but definitely sub prime if not).
Our timeline is as follows;
08/06/17 - DIP with Natwest applied for and passed.
09/06/17 - Help to Buy authority to proceed applied for by broker
09/06/17 - Full application submitted and documents sent to broker to forward to Natwest.
10/06/17 - Valuation fee taken by Natwest
12/06/17 - Help to Buy authority to proceed received
13/06/17 - Further documents requested by Natwest
14/06/17 - Valuation carried out
15/06/17 - Valuation confirmed as received by Natwest to be assessed within the next 48 hours.
Just waiting to see now if any further information is going to be required, and if any issues are going to be thrown up.
Further update;
23/06/17 - Natwest asked broker for proof of new address, sent through docs same day.
30/06/17 - Broker confirmed that Natwest had accepted our application and offer will be sent out on Mon 3/7.
I did not think that we would get a high street lender, so pleased it's all gone through with little hassle and a reasonable rate.0
