Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

First Time Buyer,
Offer accepted on house 18/12/2013
Mortgage application submitted (Nationwide), and supporting documentation for earnings sent off (most recent payslip, and I enclosed my P60 to confirm work/home address as not on payslip).
Had phone call today to say that there are no figures on the payslip !! !!!!!!, there most definitely are. I'm thinking that the department dealing with documentation has photocopied the payslip and because of this the security backing is showing through and obscuring the figures. They are now going to have to write to my work for them to confirm my wages etc. Not exactly good news, as everyone involved with payroll at my work is off until 6th Jan as we've already been paid for December.
Hopefully this doesn't impact on the offer, which has a condition that the "subject to mortgage" clause is removed by 17th Jan. If it does then I'll be having words with Nationwide, as there was nothing wrong with the documentation I submitted ... it's their internal process that's prevented it from being accepted. :mad:0 -
I will do a proper timeline tomorrow.
But since the call and the funds pending for the valuation today.
4x hits on both mine and the other halfs credit reports.
3x mortgage quotations, and 1x unrecorded enquiry for the loan amount.
20/12/13.
23/12/13, Money for valuation taken by Halifax mortgages,
Also broker fee pending.. now its really time to brick it
Oh and merry Christmas everybody !0 -

Hi everyone, valuation was carried out and mortgage agreed and in the post.

Just had a call from the estate agents to say Halifax have booked a valuation for the second of January !
Also, 27/12/13 shows another enquiry on our experian credit files, though this time it says enquiry rather than unrecorded enquiry ?0 -

29/11/13 offer made/accepted.
01/12/13 complete all dox (ID/forms/statements etc).
02/12/13 send dox to mortgage broker by email

05/12/13 Solicitor's details swapped. Call from mortgage broker saying I should get EA to call Colley's to bring forward valuation. emailed EA.
06/12/13 EA gets valuation brought forward to 10/12/13
07/12/13 received letter from surveyors. Send back signed solicitor's pack, send back surveyors letter
10/12/13 hbs done (Colleys subbed it out)

In summary: ~1 month including Christmas to put offer in, get 2 mortgage offers completed and exchange contracts. Hard work but it shows it can be done.
My solicitor has been great (Lambert Pugh)
My broker (power mortgages has been great). I'm an IT contractor.
E-serv were great. Valuation scheduled v.quick and turned around pronto.
Optima legal were great
Halifax and Clydesdale were both great.
The only let down has been Colleys. They subbed it out to Sesame Bankhall/Shepherd Chartered Surveyors. They did the mortgage valuation on the 10th (Halifax offered on the 11th) but my HBS only arrived this morning despite numerous phone calls from 11/12/13 onwards I've raised a complaint with Colleys as they knew it was a repo and under tight timescales and have let me down. I risked exchanging without the HBS and got away with it.0 -
