  • Hi Guys

Had the same problem last week trying to get my SA302 forms for my mortgage application. Spoke to my accountant and he wanted to charge me £50+VAT to get a copy from HMRC.

I then had a look online and found this site http://www.sa302form.co.uk which told me who to phone at HMRC to get your forms for FREE!!!!

Just waiting on the forms coming through the post but HMRC were actually pretty helpful for once.

Can i join here too please.

Its been a nightmare so far, Natwest being our main bank told us to go and find a house... and put an offer in, we did that and went for the mortgage application, they forgot to mention me not being in my job for there minimum term and carried out a hard credit search... i got a phone call from the underwriters two days later (quite rude) telling me they would not even open my application or look at it as i didn't fit there criteria

We complained regarding this as it dropped my credit score for almost a month, they are supposed to be removing it, but so far have not, we got £195.00 compensation (not exactly helpful).

I should have said, FTB, trying for 95% LTV on help to buy 2.

    Mortgage is for £118,750.

Earnings between me and the other half is in the region of £43k.

Credit scores are good and excellent with experian (i realise this doesnt seem to be exactly worth much), i do have one late payment a couple of months back on a CC that i payed off then missed an interest charge :o

Anyway, we have spoken to a broker who has managed to get us the AIP with Halifax.

Application went in on Friday 13th....yes i know, of ALL the days to do it.

Anyway, now worried sick that something will go wrong.

The broker is all positive and reckons we have nothing to worry about... but he would say that wouldn't he.

Anyway ill let you all know how it goes if thats ok.

Mine arrived on Saturday after phoning HMRC the Tuesday before so wasn't too long waiting.

Really, really hoping we will hear something about the mortgage this week. Can't imagine anything will happen after Friday.

Now comes chasing the solicitors - looks like end of Jan exchange.
