Hi all thought I add my timeline
21st April - house put on market
25th April - accepted offer on our house
3rd May - applied for mortgage to buy our next property which is a family member's
4th May - Mortgage accepted in principle - valuation arranged
5th May - contacted solicitor re sale & purchase
19th May - Valuation of property we are buying submitted and was being reviewed
23rd May - Nationwide asked for further information regarding my job in the NHS as I have recently increased my hours so they needed a letter from my manager (budget holder) to confirm new salary.
24th May - Submitted letter from my manager via mortgage advisor this morning.
24th May - waiting to hear whether my buyer has been able to secure a mortgage as they haven't had the valuation done yet on my property. They aren't a straightforward case as they are self employed and its a buy to let mortgage for the buyers son and young family. They seem really keen still and are frustrated that they are still waiting so hopefully won't be too much longer.
Good luck to everyone still waiting!0 -
My timeline so far.
21/04 DIP accepted with Nationwide
05/05 offer made on house
05/05 offer accepted
08/05 full application submitted
10/05 valuation booked for 15/05
10/05 Marriage certificate requested and scanned to MA
15/05 Text from Nationwide to say they'd received the valuation report
17/05 proof of gifted deposit requested and scanned to MA who then sent it straight to Nationwide.
22/05 heard from broker that valuation is fine and signed off
23/05 heard from broker that nationwide didn't realise they had my marriage certificate and it was still outstanding. When they did see they had it, they said they were going to "action it". Advised that they'll issue an offer by the end of the week.0 -
So I'm taking the plunge! Our landlord informed us last Tuesday they're selling the house so it made u take the plunge slightly earlier than we were planning (due to adverse credit we had been waiting)
Monday 22nd - Viewed property
Tuesday 23rd - Offer put in and accepted, AIP submitted and referred
Fingers crossed for tomorrow!0 -

Can't sleep or eat. Stressed and anxious. Thinking about jacking it all in and living a life of purgatory on the welfare state if this doesn't turn out well. Fed up of doing the right thing, working hard and being made to suffer by banks and successive governments.:DLady G:eek::mad::rotfl:
Life is too short to be serious all of the time. So, if you can't laugh at yourself, call me - and I'll laugh at you!:money::money:0 -
