thanks toc25, I had a text yesterday evening to say they were reviewing the valuation. I had a homebuyers survey done so hoping to receive the report later this week or next week sometime.

Re accessing the tracker, I could use it as soon as I got a text from Natwest to say they were processing my application with the reference number. Fingers crossed for you too :)

It's so nerve-wracking! I've got exams next week so trying to focus on that instead but its a struggle.

KatieLou04 yes all applications have to go the underwriters where they check affordability and account conduct. I believe different lenders all have slightly different criteria but your broker should have a good idea of which lenders you have the best chance with in your own circumstances. Good luck :)

Thanks, Got the text this morning and the tracker is now working. It's on stage one even though I know they have instructed the valuation. I'm trying not to worry or over think but I'm struggling :o

MB has just emailed, she's contacted Nationwide this morning only to be informed that my marriage certificate is still outstanding. She pointed out that it was scanned over to them on 11th so they've said they will "action it" and get an offer issued by the end of the week.

What does "action it" mean? I'm guessing it means check it.

toc25 - mine is still saying stage one, even though on the notes it says they have the valuation report and are currently reviewing it. I had a text from the advisor to say it looks OK and I should hear within 24 hours.

Can you see notes on the app? I don't see anything like that. Good luck with yours, sounds like you are nearly there.

My first step was in January, when I started the ball rolling on my Right to Buy. Last week I finally got the valuation in writing. Today I have posted my mortgage application off to the Coventry BS. I am still awaiting funds from a pension, as I was 55 in April, I was told today that the pension funds should be in my bank in 1-2 weeks.
My possible delay could be claiming the tax back from my pension.
I am not sure if I have enough funds, as the tax amounts to £2,000. Claiming it back will take 3-4 weeks.

Hi all, mortgage broker has informed us that mortgage offer is in the post and will be with us in a couple of days.
I am still really anxious about the whole thing as its the biggest purchase we've ever made, but I have done my homework! I am just a massive worrier always thinking the worst!
Katie - can you find out why they were not willing to lend you the amount you needed? Were they willing to lend you a lower amount or did they just reject? There is definitely still hope but I would ask your mortgage broker about why they have rejected you for the amount you wanted.

Hi, thought i'd add my timeline in as being watching this thread for a while!

03/05 - Offer accepted on house
05/05 - DIP processed and referred to underwriter
10/05 - Approved in Principle and full application submitted
    17/05 - Mortgage Offer confirmed!

We are now still waiting for the offer to come through the post - any ideas how long this will take?

    The wait is so painful!!

Shouldn't be too long, if it's nationwide I've read that they send post out 2nd class and it can take a little while to get to you.
