OK so today was a bit stressful after chasing MB as was expecting to have offer this week he finds out they want a copy of employment contract as its <6 months since I started new job - typical as today I was really busy at work and not in office but I managed to email my contract through and eventually MB gives the good news that offer should be received on Monday (6th March) and fingers crossed he wants to book in meeting to sign docs
Feeling a bit less stressed now.
08 Feb - Offer accepted
09 Feb - Solicitor instructed
10 Feb - MB meeting
13 Feb - Survey done (full survey - for our purposes)
15 Feb - MIP done
16 Feb - Mortgage applications made (Natwest and Halifax BTL) and valuation fees paid
20 Feb - Valuation of residential property
20 Feb - Request for more info from underwriters
22 Feb - Valuation of BTL property
23 Feb - Request for more info from underwriters
03 Mar - Request for more info from underwriters
Hopefully I can update next week with offer received....

Hi all
Long time lurker - this thread has proved very useful!
Here is our timeline (currently renting)
10/2: Found a house literally up the road that looked perfect (its empty too bonus!)
10/2 Got a viewing that evening (loved it)
12/2: Viewed in daytime - still loved it
17/2: Third viewing (with mother in law as she is gifting deposit)
17/2: Same day saw mortgage broker - got a DIP with Santander
17/2: Estate agents called asking if we'd like to submit an offer - offered 10k less - ten minutes later got a call saying they accepted!
24/2: Submitted all details for mortgage (95% LTV) to MB / instructed solicitors
3/3: Checked credit score solicitors have run a check? (Is this normal?)
4/3: Received letter from solicitors saying the gifted letter needs doing again!!!! Santander need in writing that my MIL will not reside at the property (sigh) - also a bit miffed as its our first correspondence and they have put in regards to purchasing No 1 XXXX Street..............first off we are buying No 10 - secondly there isn't even a number 1 on the street!
Husband will drop off the new amended gifted letter at the solicitors and MB tomorrow, hoping to hear something soon as it is killing me0 -
