Nagging the MA paid off! He just emailed to let me the valuation came back fine and the mortgage is approved. WOO HOO

    I wonder what happens next...
You and your solicitor receive the offer and the legal work continues until exchange of contracts nears. At that time, you'll be asked for your preferred completion dates and your deposit.

Thank you! Once I recovered from the excitement I talked to my MA a bit more and he explained the next steps. Not a lot for us to do until we see him again except start nagging the solicitor. I suppose now I go haunt the 'waiting for exchange' thread. :j

  • Nerves frayed here - MB has chased up and no change from the underwriter so he has had a call with a business manager and they are going to discuss tomorrow so he says we should know tomorrow, draft contracts with solicitor today so we have 4 weeks to exchange, hence my concern and we need the offer ASAP. Hope we don't have to do another application....

Not even received the valuation report so maybe thats the issue as last we heard last Fri the valuation report was in for checking......

This is making me feel queasy!!

its exactly 2 weeks for me tomorrow - hope I get good news
  • We used a MB (which we'd thoroughly recommend using BTW) and applied for a mortgage with NatWest, our timeline below:

    - 10/2 - offer accepted on house
    - 17/2 - meeting with MB
    - 20/2 - mortgage AIP with NatWest and full application submitted
    - 21/2 - deducted cost for valuation
    - 27/2 - valuation completed
    - 28/2 - MB asked for Feb payslips
    - 1/3 - MB advised no issues with valuation
    - 2/3 - MORTGAGE OFFER RECEIVED!

    Now bring on exchange!

Good luck all, hope you're not kept waiting much longer.

wonder why mine is taking so long - hopefully not a bad sign but sooooo frustrating as application was on 17th Feb and valuation done on 20th Feb :(:(
