Update on mine . Just had message from NationWide saying that they've received my valuation report and will review it . If there is something missing they will contact with me . Valuation was done today . Fingers crossed
  • Why is NatWest taking so long with mine? I applied 12 days ago and the valuation was done 7 days ago but I still have no offer. I'm looking to buy a new-build and only have 15 days left to exchange, but I've still not heard anything! All I keep getting from my broker is it could be any day now.

    same here!!

Fed up of waiting to hear what was happening about the employee reference, got husband to finally chase it and minutes after coming off the phone offer email for the full amount came through! Happy days. Added a wee time line for anyone using Leeds. We done execution only so we had to wait on our mortgage application being posted out (took 3 days) but I cheated and done the full application whilst waiting on closing date and offer being accepted due to this.

17th Feb - Offer accepted on property
21st Feb - Application received and processed by LBS
23rd Feb - Further ID required but told we could email this over.
25th Feb - Told everything fine but needed a sole occupancy declaration signed and were awaiting employee reference.
27th Feb - Told just awaiting employee reference (see previous post about that shambles)
1st March - Mortgage offer received for full amount.

So minus weekends - 8 days! just as advised on their service status.

Don't actually know what happens now!!!

Update on mine - I contacted my broker who said the case was passed to the "final checks team today for review and offer". How many teams are there?! It seems to have been bounced around from place to place!

Hello everyone I'm new to this thread and also in same position!

    Any advice/thoughts appreciated...

Declined by Halifax today. Currently have a mortgage in my sole name with them- 5 years never !!!!ed a payment.

Husband and I applying for joint mortgage now- reason for decline 2xCCJs one due to 'drop off' in April. One next May.

Husband has been in same job 4.5 years, sal £50/60k p60s to show this. I'm PT teacher sal £18,500. Child Ben £1500 per year.

Outgoings- £300 car finance monthly, £100 phone contracts, CC debt £3800. I had credit card and overdraft all settled by my lovely mum
Today! So debt free. Halifax and Tesco have both given my husband healthy 5k limit cc in past 2 years. He has an 'all green 5 year credit history'.

Sold house. Reserved new build pp£260,000. Wanting help to buy with 5% deposit from equity in current home.

Question- my husband had a car in his mums name 4 years ago, because of his previous credit problem. This car we pay through our joint account direct to Audi. Although financial agreement not in his name. This is a lease and due to be returned in march/April depending on 4 week collection time scale. I have a letter from Audi confirming this. Will this be taken into account? Completion anticipated end of April/may.

    Any thoughts about acceptance/decline?

    Thanks

    Hanger,
You may want to contact with the bank and asking for progress ?

NationWide took 1 day to book valuation after they revived my application, if they are so fast to make and offer this week I will be the happiest person in the world 🌎.

I'm in the same position with Nationwide! Application Monday, valuation Tuesday and now waiting very impatiently!!!
