  • Hi all

    Lender: Halifax
    Type: FTB
    Deposit: 10%
    AIP: 01-Feb-2017
    Full application: 20-Feb-2017
Credit check and contd full application: 21-Feb-2017 (Valuation booked on 01-Mar-2017)
Additional documents requested by M. Processor: 22-Feb-2017
    Valuation done on: 23-Feb
Valuation report received: 25-Feb ( I was shocked to receive this because they did the valuation prior to a prefixed date) all good BTW!
Additional documents sent via link: 25-Feb
Today 27-FEB M. Processor replied saying "Thank you for the email, I have arranged for the documents to be sent onto your file & these will be actioned shortly"

Please can someone clarify what does this mean?
What's the difference between mortgage processor and advisor? Who provides the actual offer??

When can I anticipate an offer? Will they email me or will they directly post the offer?

I don't want to call Halifax and stay on hold forever.

    Thank you!

    Good luck to everyone.
  • So got the news today.

    Hi

I've been lurking on here for ages!
We had a mortgage offer from Nationwide in Nov/Dec, however we had to pull out of that property due to major works and lack of building regs etc.
So our new property is £1000 more but we're footing that ourselves so essentially our mortgage will be the same!
Our vendors want to move very quickly which is a bonus for us as our tenancy ends 24th April.
    So,
23rd Feb - Offer on house accepted.
    23rd Feb - Instructed solicitors
24th Feb - Returned solicitors paperwork and paid land registry fees.
27th Feb - Mortgage application (with Nationwide again).
    28th Feb - Valuation booked.
28th Feb - Text stating valuation had been done.

Now, last time we had the valuation 5 days after mortgage application (there was a weekend in between) so I guess 3 working days.
On the evening of the valuation (20:30) we had two text messages a minute apart. The first saying valuation was done the second saying offer was in the post!
So now I'm freaking out that we didn't get the second text straight away!
Surely the underwriters wouldn't have had time to review our application yet??
  • I'm with nationwide as well and got an email saying valuation was ok but no mortgage offer email.

Next morning my broker sent me my mortgage offer and said it had been issued the night before. Maybe a problem with their systems?
