Broker thinks valuation report will be sent to lender today and I should hear a result by the end of the week.
My situation - FTB buying 2 bed flat in london. 85%LTV with Nationwide.
I'm buying alone and am self employed though I'm using a broker who is adamant I'll have no problem having looked at my finances and the various bits of documentation. Still doesn't make the waiting any easier though :-S0 -
@nLdn sounds like we're at a similar point in the process - was meant to get an update yesterday but my broker chased and apparently they're experiencing slow turnaround times for the valuation report to be assessed.
They were able to tell my broker that the valuation report has come out at the expected value, but have promised a 'final update' today...0 -
Hi,
Can anyone help me? I have been given an offer of a mortgage from Virgin Money, my mortgage advisor has told me not to apply for ANY credit or use my visa just incase they run another credit check..
Is it normal for mortgage companies to do this? I was hoping to order a sofa from dfs but i'm a bit worried about it now....0 -

Jack, Yes it is normal. Up until you get the funds they can do various checks throughout the application process. I have heard even after making an offer they can do credit checks.:jFinally going to be a homeowner:T0 -

13/09/2016 -- more information requested, i suppose this was my fault why this happened, they requested a months worth of bank statements so i gave them the month 9th aug to 9th september.. they requested 9 days today, 1st august - 9th august..
not a problem thought it was my stupid fault anyways..
also, my accountant has had the certificate through that everything is good to go for them - however they're still insisting that my wife is a director even though we have told them, she's not.. So another day, and we'll see.
oh, yeah I also forgot to add that we had our home buyers report today for us come through, but i thought that'll be a bit too early if I am being honest?
considering the valuation hasn't even been done...?[STRIKE]1/12/16 - £152,599.00 [/STRIKE]

The valuation is normally done as part of the homebuyers, at least thats been my experience todate.
They will probably want alot more information before you get to the end of this and probably things you have already given.
We'll get there. Ssooner or later :rotfl:0 -

15 weeks our application for a remortgage has taken todate, ive learnt to be a bit of a realist. They've asked for copies of our books 3 times, statements twice, docs from the accountant several times. Its beyond laughable at this point. They're not all this bad but expect the worst and if better happens its a bonus.0
