The only thing we got told was we are FTB so this is a process we have to go through.[STRIKE]1/12/16 - £152,599.00 [/STRIKE]

Delays from Nationwide... we're shared ownership and staircasing, and whilst the valuation came out at the expected amount they neglected to include on the report the amount that we currently own - Nationwide are chasing the surveyors but they still haven't provided the updated report 3 days later! Grrr...
We were hoping to complete the transaction by October 1st but feel now like this may be unrealistic - does anyone have any experience of how long the legal side of these transactions take? Solicitors both sides have been instructed but obviously can't proceed any further until we have the formal offer.0 -
Update:
Just had an email from my MA to say that the valuation is booked for 26th (i knew, I booked it ha) and to say "Everything looks fine on our side too by the way."
- I've asked him to clarify EXACTLY what he means!!!0 -
I never thought this would happen, but I can finally join you guys. After having credit problems in the past due to a messy split with my ex, I never thought this would happen. I have worked my socks off to clear my debts and have had some huge hiccups along the way. We had saved up a 25k deposit but 15k was used to pay off my wife's student loan. So I recently spoke to a mortgage broker and he has managed to get a AIP with Aldermore with a 5% deposit. My timeline is as follows:
12/09/16 AIP with Aldermore
13/09/16 offered 150k on 180k house (big fat no), raised offer to 165k (another no)
16/09/16 offer of 170K accepted.
Now I am waiting to hear from my broker. We are due some good luck, fingers crossed.0 -

Good Luck chrislee!
Still in Limbo here - waiting for the 3rd October to come so we can have the property we are purchasing valued.
Ho hum...
We've booked a weekend to London for hubbys birthday, so I'm concentrating on that at the moment and to be honest, I'm not feeling too stressed out.0 -
Thanks for all the well wishes, I am having trouble keeping the wife calm, it's very early days for us. We have so many documents to try and get together, it doesn't help that my wife is self employed to be honest. I am sure we will have some twists and turns but hopefully we can finally get on the ladder.0
