Wow.... was 19 weeks just for the mortgage? That does make my 3.5weeks look like childs play!

It's just extremely frustrating as I was told this would take 2 weeks by my clearly useless broker. I'm 36 weeks pregnant and was hoping to have the keys before baby comes. And if we will be rejected the mortgage, we need to arrange rented accommodation ASAP as we've been living with parents whilst saving for our deposit :(

Oh dear that really is a pickle...nope wish it was 19 weeks...its 19 months. We were going to rent the house we were buying from last January onwards. But as it was that owner very sadly got sick and sadly passed away. We've had a mortgage, but there have been several hold ups on he legal side, so even with an extension...our mortgage lapsed in May...we weren't allowed to reapply for our mortgage until the legal issues were resolved which was at the very beginning of August...and even now...we are still waiting also. Even without pregnancy hormones I have been terribly terribly upset these last few weeks, so I can't imagine how stressful it is with a baby due any day! That said, I am back at work as a teacher, and my classroom is upside down due to the fact it's been decorated...so.....I may be....on...the...edge!!!

Eeek, Underwriter has come back saying my address is different on P60 and Payslip to everything else.

Everything else is registered to my family home where I have my financial history and all banking/cars etc... registered. I have spend much of the past 2 years living in hotels so everything is at my fixed address (Parents House).

The address on the P60 + Payslip is a room I rent whilst I'm buying the house. I have no other proof of address based there and an informal contract.

Explained to MB, hopefully they can smooth over. Anyone else had this issue?
  • I'm sure as long as you have evidence of this, you will be fine. Underwriters are used to these issues.
  • Natwest showing that they are working on applications received on Wednesday 31st. Ours was submitted on Tuesday....hoping for a little update today. We shall see.

MA now remembers I told him I was not sleeping at my registered address.

Going back to Nationwide today. Guess I won't hear by the weekend now :(.

Ours has now moved to the assessment of valuation stage. Our final documents were submitted Tuesday and we are waiting for an update today. But our broker has now delegated to a processor who seems happy everything is fine.

You weren't long after us so hopefully they will give you good news today! :D

Oh what a coincidence! I'm also a teacher (though I'm on mat leave now as of yesterday :j) that sounds very stressful! I hope this gets all sorted for you before baby makes an appearance!

Another useless update.... apparently I have been assigned a third person to deal with my case and that idiot informed me he needs my p60s (as if I didn't already know).... AFTER I called him up demanding an explanation as to WTH they are doing. Had a right go at him and received no apology, in fact he had the nerve to say 'I'll chase up Halifax on Monday and get your p60s over to them then too' to which I said 'NO MY P60S ARE BEING SENT TO THEM TODAY I HAVE HAD THEM EMAILED TO YOU GUYS SINCE MONDAY!!!' Cannot believe the cheek of him!!! An absolute waste of an entire week over a simple document I have had for months. I will be filing a complaint against this company after this mortgage hooplah is over. I cannot deal with how laid back and lazy they have been. Considering emailing the head broker/manager/whoever too.
  • That does sound shoddy. Must be incredibly frustrating too. It shouldn't take long to send over an extra bit of documentation.

I'm feeling a little in limbo but more due to the fact that our buyers still havnt requested a valuation on our house. Our mortgage has only been in for a few days so I'm quite relaxed that. I've started writing my christmas lists just to try and put my focus elsewhere.
