Hi has there been any issues since this post? Did you find the online process simple to manage?
Thanks.0 -
I'll join you all. this is torture!
Our last mortgage was 2008 when it was a done deal in 15 minutes with our broker.. before that 2003 when it was 10 minutes in the bank!
Now we've been rejected by HSBC and are now with a broker who has assured us that all will be fine and is putting our application to Halifax 'asap'!
The wait is honestly driving me crazy and we only saw the broker yesterday. I don't know how I will deal with waiting potentially weeks!0 -
We submitted full application (via a broker) to Nationwide 20.7.16
Survey conducted 26.7.16
Heard today that survey is okay however proof of deposit not acceptable so sent new statements.
My earnings are also based upon my new job starting September. They have my contract (signed) but there's a summary of terms and I didn't submit a signed copy of this so that's gone off to them too.
So bloody nervous. Hoping there's no issues r.e. getting my contract through0 -
I have been reading this thread with interest, loads of great help!
Here is my current timeline:

22/07 - New Help to Buy form signed and submitted for Equity Loan
*** 22/07 - Valuation booked by Santander for 28/07 ***
*** UPDATE ! ***
29/07 - Phone call from broker to say mortgage has been approved and offer is in the post!
That's 10 days from application to (verbal) offer.
I am over the moon!!0 -
Also joining this finally!
FTB just under 95% with Nationwide via broker - I'm an IFA (recently qualified!) so doing it through my mortgage broker at work.
House viewing 16/07
Offer accepted on 18/07
DIP completed & accepted on 22/07 (probably should have done this before looking at houses but it all happened very quickly!) - had to submit payslips online.
Full application submitted 28/07 - no other evidence asked for e.g. bank statements - is this normal?
Valuation - waiting on confirmation from Nationwide for when this is booked for!I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and should not be seen as financial advice.0 -
The waiting is intense!
AIP accepted - 27/07
Application sent - 28/07
Valuation booked for - 02/08
Hoping it isn't going to be too drawn out, no additional info asked for yet!0 -
Glad to hear it went quickly for you as I've applied with Santander. Congratulations :beer:0

Hi All
Can someone settle my nerves please!
I had an AIP with the Halifax and an offer accepted 26.7.2016
My full mortgage application went in 28.7.2016 which had to be referred to the underwriters automatically due to a notice of correction for a missed payment I wish I had never added. Anyway the mortgage advisor said on Friday 29.7.2016 that my credit check had been agreed. Now I am waiting for a final offer.
Reading horror stories of mortgage companies pulling out at the last minute is super scary.
I've not had the perfect time credit history but scored a B with no CCJS or Defaults. Just a couple of single missed payments.
Praying everything goes through.
I don't require a valuation as I'm in Scotland and the home report is accredited. How long could the offer take now?
Good luck everyone.0 -

Looks like we're on the same timeline(applications in on the same day) does your provider have a service times page online, mine is showing ave. residential offer goes through in 9.8 days. Might help a little.
Have you had notice of the valuation?
Good luck0 -
Just noticed no valuation needed0
