    Hi all!

Currently awaiting mortgage offer with Accord through London and Country. Docs have been accepted by the underwriters, just waiting on valuation survey, but venders helpfully only allowing access after 4pm, which is proving difficult to arrange, so accord now trying a different survey company who may be able to suit the vendors access arrangements,

Is it just me or is this a bit restrictive?!

I wouldn't really say so. We have part exchanged our house and I am so sick of all the stuff they want doing I now say if it's before 8am or after 5pm I can accommodate, if outside those times you will have to figure something out.

Fair enough, I think it's all about perspectives I suppose, we're already sold our house and our buyers did 4 surveys, (valuation, home buyers, electrical, plumbing) and so the idea that our venders would be restrictive about a 30 min valuation report, and thus delaying our mortgage by a weeks or so seems unreasonable. Tbh as long as we get there in the end I'm not too fussed, just feeling the pressure of our first time buyers who are no doubt reading stories in the newspapers about forecast house price falls in light of Brexit! Also not feeling especially optimistic about the scheduling of our full structural survey to follow!

I'm still waiting for my mortgage decision too, been about 5 weeks! I'm beginning to wonder if we'll ever get it.

Full 122% mortagage offer recieved, on to the exchange thread
  • Hi all,

FTB and here is where we are up to:

Applied through Broker with Nationwide on 13/07
    Confirmation received application 14/07
    15/07 valuation booked for 21/07
    Today valuation changed to 22/07

Is it a good sign if an application has moved on to a valuation?

apparently with nationwide they don't wait for valuation, they do it all at same time. We applied one day and got confirmation of valuation happening straight after for 4 days later. I don't think they could have assessed it all and made a decision in the 5 mins between receiving the app and booking the valuation.

Hi guys, I am so thankful I found this thread, I feel your pain!!

We have had a "subjective accept" from NW following a AIP refer, valuation has been booked for Monday, all docs submitted, I don't know whether we can get excited over the subjective accept or if they could still come back and decline later down the line... I've been trawling forums and haven't come across any situations where a decline has happened after a subjective accept but I take it it could happen? Anyone else been in or is in a similar predicament?

Similar boat, we got our AIP to our suppose without a hitch from Natwest who do a soft search. (our scores are fair-good depending which credit company you look at)

Waiting on our full mortgage appointment and a little worried, our broker found a good deal with Halifax which got rejected after a soft search..... So we are confused and worried!
