    Update on mine:

Thursday 16th June - applied online in the evening and accepted. Apparently no physical valuation required based on the information provided, so house was valued at my desired figure and we achieved 58%. Is that normal?!

Friday 17th June - submitted requested evidence via email, 3 months payslips for each of us. Online tracking page updated. Allocated solicitor.

Friday 17th June - Completed solicitor remortgaging pack online and printed out/signed

Saturday 18th June - posted completed conveyancing pack via recorded post

Monday 20th June - Nationwide processed payslips that I'd emailed and I then received text and email to confirm a mortgage offer has been made and is on the way in the post. Insanely quick.

Tuesday 21st June - Solicitors received my paperwork and have already processed it

Mortgage offer arrived via post on Friday 24th. Almost glad it was 'pre-brexit'!

Just over a week later and the solicitors have confirmed they've received the offer, plus the mortgage redemption certificate from our current mortgage company. All managed online - really impressed with Nationwide so far.

Our application to Natuonwide has gone in today via our broker. Fingers crossed! He said nationwide are generally turning around within a couple of weeks at the moment. We are purchasing a new build so hoping it will all be straight forward from here on out!

Well, we have an update already. Nationwide will be valuing the new build property on Monday. Hoping that this is a good sign and it won't take too long after that. Anybody any experience one valuation is complete?
  • After 5 months of waiting I did it, at the end of July I will move. Good luck to all, I know how hard it is, how many emotions and agitation. Now I can sleep soundly.

Mortgage application submitted today, fingers crossed

Referred to Underwriter due to negative equity situation, (known and accepted beforehand) and they have came back to query the situation as to how old defaults occurred, not a straight no which is a glimmer of hope

Hello, hope you don't mind if I join you all here?

My story, applied for a mortgage with Santander, was rejected on undeclared debt. There is no undeclared debt, it is a CC that was paid in full a couple of months before application and its still showing on the credit file. Santander will not accept proof from CC company that the debt is settled and will wait for the credit file to be updated. They have said that they will not re-dip' it for 5-6 weeks.

That doesn't really work for us and broker has advised that they are very rigid 'computer says no' company. He has advised, and we agree, to apply elsewhere.

We have today put an application into the Coventry BS, they have everything the could ever ask for, as we had it all ready from the Santander application and have sent our broker copies of both our credit files so nothing trips it up there again. Does anyone have any recent experience with the Coventry on timescales etc? Santander have set us back 4 weeks so hoping it wont take too long. The only information I can find seems to be a couple of years out of date.

    Many thanks

    Thought I'd join the party.
    FTB.

27th June - mortgage application made in branch - Lloyds Bank (current Club Lloyds customer). only evidence requested; most recent payslip and photo i.d.
27th June - mortgage approved pending valuation.
    5th July - valuation scheduled.

Mortgage Advisor in branch anticipates everything to be completed and offer sent out before her return from holiday in 2 weeks time. We'll see.

    Update on above :)
5th July - valuation came back fine.
6th July - offer sent in post.

Very simple mortgage process for us thankfully!! Now just for the vendor's solicitors to stop playing games....

Depends on the lender. Ours was valued one day and offer issued the next. Give them a call if still waiting after a few days :)
