This is quite interesting as we are on a similar timescale to you with Nationwide.
5/07/2016 - AIP with Nationwide through broker. Explained to broker before AIP that I had noticed on Experien my maiden and married name were not linked, despite being married for 4 years! Sent him a copy of credit report in maiden and current name, both high and excellent. AIP was accepted.
6/7/2016 - Application to Nationwide goes in. Text from Nationwide to confirm application and valuation booked for 11/7/2016
12/7/2016 - not heard anything back from anyone... But, decided to check on Experien again, where I notice my credit file has now been linked (since the AIP) because I filled in an alias form. Suddenly credit score has plummeted by 100, to a high fair (2 marks off good), negatives listed include all the extra available credit that has been added (because split across both names), not on electorol roll (I am), an extra credit search (from the AIP), etc. So I'm now really panicking this is going to have a huge impact on the application and that at AIP stage it only searched my current name and not my maiden name too. Stress:(0 -

ok, I've now realised that the names were actually linked due to Nationwide's credit search. So the AIP was based on what they could see for both names, so that feels a bit better. So just back to waiting for their confirmation of a satisfactory valuation and [hopefully] an offer.0 -
Just a quick update on our timeline in case it helps anyone – a week from application to offer!

11/07/2016 – valuation takes place but we hear nothing
13/07/2016 – text to say valuation has been received and we should hear shortly. Quickly followed by another text to say that they were pleased to confirm that an offer has been issued.
So – off to wait for exchange of contracts now! We have two weeks left to do it in.0 -

Just wondered if anyone has recently gone through an application with Natwest?
We have gone via a broker...AIP obtained Tues 5/7, full application submitted Tues 12/7.This morning they debited the valuation fee from our account.I know Natwest do the underwriting and valuation side by side now to cut waiting times.
We are asking for a 60%LTV.We have 56k to put down from the sale of our house so we've applied for 84k mortgage.Nothing that I can see on our credit reports causes any concern,my rating is excellent and my husbands is good.
Affordability is OK...could be better I suppose but we've made sure everything has been listed on our application. We have nothing on our credit cards but have a 5k personal loan each and childcare costs.I only work part time so my tax credits and child maintenance have been listed as income.
I'm so nervous!!0 -
Hi everyone...
Just wondered if anyone is in the middle of a mortgage application with precise? We had our Dip straight away and now our broker submitted our application on Sunday and he seems to think we should know by Friday? Only thing that's happened is we had to change solicitors as ours wasn't on the panel board they use. Hoping that's all that has delayed it. Anyone else waiting on a offer/acceptance? Thanks x0
