So in my stressful time I thought I'd join the collective, in the hopes adding to this thread will bring me some comfort.

So applied to Nationwide through a mortgage broker.

    21/07 - DIP received
    26/07 - Mortgage Application submitted.
27/07 - Recieve confirmation Valuation is booked.
01/08 - Valuation takes place and confirmation it has been recieved.

Now we're just waiting as still no further update. The frustrating thing is our broker is away this week and I'm worried if they have requested any further documentation from us we won't know till next week possibly delaying the offer. Our sellers are eager to move (as always) and we don't want them getting impatient.

I have no finger nails left and my anxiety is high!

We too are reapplying through nationwide via a broker. We had our original mortgage accepted back in October and unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the offer which lasts 6 months lapsed at the end of May. Our broker wouldn't reapply for our mortgage until the unforseen circumstances were sorted...but I pushed and the same day I set the wheels in motion it was sorted.

We started the application process again, Tuesday I took our wage slips and bank statements up to the brokers office, and yesterday he was working on our application. Problem is, all the paperwork for the house is sorted as we are buying from relatives so now after us waiting on them they are now waiting on our mortgage...and they wanted to complete tomorrow lol!

Our broker says 2-3 weeks...till we can complete...I hope so...but I'm worried nationwide might knock us back. Our financial circumstances haven't changed since the original application was made...but I really hope they process it quickly because I really want to be in my house! Luckily the seller is letting us have the keys to do things but it's not quite the same as being able to put things into place!

Do you not have the details of the nationwide department who deals with mortgages to get an update yourself?

If they have an offer letter all the details should be on there...when we were looking to extend our original mortgage (you only get 2 weeks) they were very helpful, you just need your account number

All I have is a case number on an email the broker sent me when forwarded an email from Nationwide when the valuation was booked but wasn't sure if this would be his reference, ours or both?!

Have you not got a letter off nationwide with your offer?

If not just ring them and give them your details, or ask your broker for your account number

If the reference starts with 'M5' or 'M7' call 0800 464 3000 then option 2 then option 1 - that's what I done today. However, I work with the broker I'm using so I can just check it online myself - I just needed to give them extra details today re. partner's overtime!

So I rang and turns out they are waiting for previous evidence of my partners bonus which I provided to our broker after the DIP was issued (nearly two weeks ago!). To say I'm a little bit annoyed is an understatement  I'd quite like to reduce some of his payment for this...

Mine put my partner's overtime as a weekly amount rather than annual which makes his income approx. £400,000 pa - we wish!!!! It then was flagged up with head office and loan reduced due to their calculation of his overtime (which we initially played down anyway)! Would probably have gone through with no issues if it wasn't for that! Luckily I'm not paying my broker otherwise I would not be happy at all! Now I've got to wait until Monday for any response & the surveyor is booked for next week - will have to pull out of purchase if we can't get the requested loan! Feeling your frustration!

So I've sent the documents over. Annoyingly I don't have my partners payslip from last June so had to send the benefits report letter which does state when bonus was paid and how much so just hoping this is acceptable. I'm slightly worried as the bonus was calculated from 2012 and paid in 2015 so hoping this still counts as an annual bonus for 2015.... He recieved one this year too which we have payslip proof of. Fingers crossed, I feel physically sick waiting....

I know that feeling...we're having to reapply and...though circumstances haven't changed...I'm scared...we need this to go as smooth as possible...we've waited 19 months for this house!
