I know that feeling...we're having to reapply and...though circumstances haven't changed...I'm scared...we need this to go as smooth as possible...we've waited 19 months for this house!
Fingers crossed for both of us! Thinking positive thoughts :j0 -

tell me about it...I don't think it will hit me till we actually live there...right now we are cleaning it in preparation...but until I close the door every evening and don't have to go back to my parents or to my bf parents it won't feel real!
I am going to ring the mortgage broker today to find out what stage we are at with the application...he sounded like he was applying on Wednesday...last time he applied he said that everything was 'sorted and ok and agreed' by 2 days later...and the property was surveyed within the week...so I'm hoping for the same time scale.
How are you getting on OohSoHolly?Lose 1st 7lb

Ours was declined today because the broker didn't respond to Nationwide quick enough - although I phoned them to give the info - apparently you aren't allowed to do this and it has to come from the broker (who I sit next to in work and who was on annual leave). They didn't tell me this on the phone so I've waited two days for a decline. Going to appeal it today but my mortgage broker is not in work again. ArghI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). That's rubbish I'm sorry. Rang our broker today who says all our paperwork went off last week...didn't give me a day...so I'm assuming it wasn't till late Wednesday or even late Thursday. Assistant said if she hasn't heard from nationwide by Wednesday she will chase it up...I'm feeling very stressed...especially after this...it's not always good to assume no news...is good newsxx

No news is definitely not good newsI've seen loooooaaadddssss of people applying with Nationwide which is making me think they are being even stricter than usual! They have a two working day turnaround just to look at any documents - which I know doesn't seem long but when they tell you on the second day that the info is either incorrect or declined it gets annoying! Had to wait two days last week for my previous documents to even be looked at, to then be told that they have worked out the overtime differently so I gave further info - another 2 day wait - & I feel like they plucked the overtime number out of nowhere! Had to postpone my building survey which was booked for Thursday & now feel like I'm messing around the buyers! I'm so confused how Nationwide can offer SO much lower than the DIP said! Argh
really hope you get a response soon!! xx

Ours is a reapplication...we already had a mortgage offer on a house we were buying through family...which for one reason or another has had lots of difficulty...one of them being at the mercy of the sellers solicitor! Our broker wouldn't let us reapply until the said difficulties were sorted...as soon as they were I went straight to the brokers office last Tuesday with the paperwork...just 3months bank statements and wage slips...thankfully my job is salaried and so is my partner! We had an email off the broker last Wednesday to ask if any circumstances had changed since our original application...which, haven't! But that was in the afternoon..so my worry is the application didn't go off till Thursday...brokers assistant just said the paperwork had been submitted last week but didn't tell me the date. Last time the paperwork was submitted on the Monday and we had an agreement in principle by the Wednesday eve, then the property was surveyed by the following Monday....our solicitor has everything ready for us to sign to move into the property...and being a teacher...I have the time to gather, pack and rearrange my house before I go back to work...the only thing holding us back is waiting on the mortgage Lose 1st 7lb

Ohh I would find out the date it was sent! I felt like things were going so quickly at first and now this has held it up by 2 weeks so far! I WISH my partner was salaried! His overtime is a big part of his income so really relying on it for the maximum loan (wish it didn't have to be the maximum but property prices here are rising too quickly!). You definitely want it sorted by the end of the school holidays!I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). When we found out everything was sorted late last Monday's evening I spoke to the broker...he told me 2-3 weeks at most...I already was going to his office the next morning as soon as his office opened...with the relevant paperwork...he knows how urgent this is...we've been waiting on and off for over 19 months for this house...first renting..and to purchase since last September...literally we are just waiting for the mortgage...I even asked nationwide if there was anything we we could do since we already had the mortgage with them till the end of May...but...nope...brand new mortgage application...very frustrating...
Let me know how everything goes for you, hopefully your broker will be back soon...do you have any means of contacting them or do they have an assistant?9Lose 1st 7lb

19 months is soooooooo long!! I really hope you get it all sorted soon! I wish we were able to speed things up - I feel like sometimes there is no urgency with the lenders! I work with the broker as I'm an IFA (recently qualified, but don't have my mortgage qualification yet). They can only accept instructions etc from the broker though & she works part-time & they always seem to reply on the days the broker isn't in! Wish I had just gone direct in a way because at least I can blame Nationwide & instead I feel bad for blaming the broker for mistakes!I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Living through this once is bad, never mind twice in the space of 6 months. I do hope it gets sorted soon for you it just feels like being sat in front of a giant brick wall, unable to move forward until that one little offer is made! We're still no further along. However mortgage broker is back off holiday and sent the bonus information off.... I'm assuming me sending that information last week will have been pointless if they'll only deal with the broker. Rather annoyed as rjw4 mentioned I was told on the phone I was ok to send this after making it specifically clear we'd applied through a broker...
Are they making these rules up..19 months is soooooooo long!! I really hope you get it all sorted soon! How disappointing rjw4 surely you can appeal this as it was 100% not your fault. I hope me sending the bonus information hasn't interfered with our application, again I was misinformed that I was ok to send this information over to them. I thought using a broker would speed things up and take the worry away however this doesn't seem to be the case! I hope you get it sorted.0
