Guess what Accord have done now?

They forgot to press the PRINT button on my mortgage offer, so for the last two weeks I have been cursing the postperson for being a lazy b*gger when it is all Accord's fault. (remember in February they forgot to instruct a valuer as well? )

I got on to my MA 11 days ago, but she said she would chase it, it is all fine, then 8 days ago, then she was on a training course, then again on Monday, and on Tuesday she said it had never been sent but I should receive it by Friday, but she is going to Thailand Thursday but will be back on Monday if I have not received it.

What kind of person goes to Thailand for the weekend????????

So I suppose, I am still here, in limbo....

  • Avid reader of this thread. Am going through the same process. Applying with a mortgage broker for a Halifax mortgage.

29/2 - offer accepted on property.
2/3 - dip approved with Halifax, full application started. Mortgage is £289k with a 46% deposit. Also holding back 50k from our sale property to do work in (hopefully) new property.
    4/3 - valuation instructed.
7/3 - house showed on right move as under offer. (Wouldn't change status until survey had been instructed)
    10/3 - valuation/survey done.
12/3 received valuation confirmation in post. Halifax valued at the price we have offered
14/3 - into hospital and had a baby !!!! nothing like having everything happening at once!!
    15/3 - home from hospital
16/3- Halifax asked for husbands tax overview for 2015-2016 to be submitted.
17/3 - tax overview received from accountant and submitted to MA.

Please please please we hear something soon. Our buyers are pushing for a 29th April completion.

I am assuming as Halifax are asking for tax overview our application must be with the underwriters!

Can you not contact them yourself ? - get her to give you the case reference ? I've done that ( don't tell my broker!)

Mortgage has been approved subject to survey which I found out today is taking place on 22nd! Feels like such a long time away.. My application has also gotten stuck at "Account Opening Checks" as my certified copies were not written "I certify"... they were still personally signed by our conveyancer but the wording wasn't exactly as it should have been, had to get them redone and resent!
That has set us back by 3 weeks as we only just found this out!:mad::mad: so stressfull!

We need to complete by end of March and so the clocks are ticking like mad!

Applied to Halifax to add me to the deeds on 1st March and new application made to Halifax for husband and me with an increase.
Credit check and all documentation done and approved same day.

Valuation took place on 10th and came back fine.

12th we received solicitors paperwork with deeds to be witnessed - signed and sent back.

Letter sent to my employer and received by my manager on 15th March to confirm my wages.

16th received solicitors letter to confirm we want them to instruct land registry to change deeds.

Mortgage man said our mortgage application is going through now and we arranged to meet with him next Tuesday to talk about insurances.

Can anyone shed some light as I don't feel like I know where we are in the process.

So we found out today our mortgage has been approved by underwriters subject to valuation :j:j:j:beer::beer::T

The whole process was so easy with a broker and Santander, applied last Thursday/Friday, only required 3 months bank statement and 2 months payslips from us both and that was it! Passed to underwriters last night and approved at 9:30 this morning! I'd definitely recommend a broker! However still no credit checks have turned up (so strange)?!

We are over the moon though, I've heard of horror stories with three hour interviews with Santander so safe to say we are relieved :j

First time buyer going through right to buy.using broker.
Too many questions firstly what is the difference between DIP And AIP.
I initially did a DIP and was approved then decided to use a broker who advised I had been declined by nationwide to my surprise thy had accepted me with the same info given via broker. This left me puzzled as to wether broker wanted to just push me a different lender??

so we I decided to use broker anyway
Broker had AIP and I was issued with DP which left me puzzled .My DIP States a credit search and score was completed but broker AIP does not state that we filled full application on the broker AIP but now stressing wether. This will be turned down.

    Full application submitted 12/3/16
Text msg received from nationwide to acknowledge app 12/3/16
Broker emails to say nationwide have requested tax credit award notice to support the bank state to credits from tax credits but this was not on the AIP list of things?
I problem is I haven't got the award noticed as shredded it so contact inland revenue who said it will take 2weeks to get another one that means no progress till then.

stressing now AIP only requested payslips banks stars and Proof of name document .
Please advise on valuation does nationwide evaluated physically visit property to carry this out?this is just of interest as I think now thy will just shelve application till I submit the further info.

    Sorry for too many questions
    Any advise welcome and appreciate
