As for us - the imminent disaster I was convinced of may actually be on the horizon. DH has received an email inviting him to a meeting 'regarding his fixed term contract' tomorrow. We were both under the impression he has a permanent contract Completely freaking out now.

Hi all, This wait is unbearable:( We are with the final checks team at Nationwide, what could that be I wonder. Iv just called and still no news. Im building myself up in a right tizzy. Fingers crossed for you all.

Just got off the phone to L&C - we got our mortgage offer from Halifax!

And the valuation was spot on too.

Congratulations! I have had the phonecall to say "offered", but not the actual paperwork yet..

Mortgage offer is apparently due next Monday... Solicitors have said it will then take minimum of 5 working days for money to be ready and then can complete and move...
housing association have said it has to be completed by 31st March.... with the bank holidays its all going to be very tight!

Congrats Mizenburg - our broker attached a PDF copy of the offer but hard copy in post. Apparently was ready yesterday!

Quick update from me..Accord querying husbands payslip...with good reason they are mighty complicated..four weekly with dedutions and additions all over the place meaning v hard to tie to declared wage. Husbands company saying not recvd enquiry so we chased Accord directly and gave them a direct contact...were really helpful and told me that was final part of underwriting. Husbands company confirmed today letter has been sent so fingers crossed we get an offer soon ..will be four weeks since app on Friday. In other news signed and sent back contracts and land registry forms. All ready to go apart from mortgage offer. Hope it comes soon as we are in Mexico for two weeks from Easter Monday !

Finally got my offer from Leeds, it took exactly 3 weeks from start to finish. Now just hoping to exchange next week, contracts have been signed and searches complete. :j:j:beer:
