Hang on in there. We got our mortgage offer on Tuesday, after a full application was made on December 22. Christmas and NY held it up, then they seemed to drag their heels over booking the valuation. Plus, I am self-employed and a FTB. If they specify a time, say 24/48 hours/a week... Take it with a pinch of salt. These forums helped keep me sane! :j but strangely the best thing you can do is stay on their tails, pester them as there's a good chance they will have forgotten to ask for a document, then put it out of your head by the weekend!
  • Our mortgage application is being sent off to Natwest today by our broker :j

Me and my partner are FTB applying for a joint mortgage, though I have a temporary job contract so sought advice from a broker to find one I would be most likely accepted with.

Have spoken with MA this morn and he is due to call back once he has spoken with lender anytime now....hes also said hes going to make a complaint to them as they keep adding timescales for every little thing :(
  • Good luck to everyone on here.

It's 2 years since the most worrying time of my adult life - took 5 months and was touch and go, but we got there, as I am sure you all will.

Good plan- it's times like this you need to know what's going on!

I must say we have been lucky with the MA we have at Lloyds, and so far the solicitor seems good, and the EA's not tooooo bad.
