We have just for a Natwest Mortgage on Monday 25th January anyone else still waiting for a mortgage offer from Natwest?0
-
We are also waiting. Its tough! We started moving 18 months ago and things have not gone smoothly0

It's really hard; I've been trying to save up for such a long time but things always creep up. This time round I was really strict on my self and have finally managed to get this far.
Don't give up!!! It's defo worth it.0 -
Nervously waiting to hear from Natwest too. Had a mortgage offer for another house...unfortunately the sale then fell through...long story!. Now found a new one and my broker send them the new property details, etc end of last week.0

Lender called me yesterday and took payment to start looking at application.... only 1 month past my exchange date ....
Lets hope they're speedy!

22/01 -- Statement with Dec pay credit sent over
27/01 -- Advised that there was going to be a delay due to the fact that our statements needed to be redacted before uploading into NW's systems but broker was trying to get the case escalated...
27/01 @ 1535 -- Mortgage Offer! :T :T
I can now finally start to feel like I am close to owning a house!
We received our offer in the post on Saturday and the mortgaged address is Flat 2, 9 Street Name, instead of Flat 9, 2 Street Name !
I have advised my broker so hopefully they will try to have in rectified, but it feels like I'm stepping backwards!
Will it just be a case of Nationwide reissuing the offer (and waiting for the post again) or will it have to go through all the hoops all over again? :mad:0 -

I would speak to your broker. They may have carried out the valuation on the wrong address, who knows. It's nothing nobody on here can answer. Hopefully a typo/mistake though.0 -
We're buying in Scotland, so there is not always a valuation carried out. Our valuation is based on the home report, so I am fairly certain the home report is in relation to the property and that it is all correct and it's just a typo. (Never mind that there is no number 9 on my street haha!)
It's terrible finding these things out on a weekend; it feels like you lose days just waiting on everyone opening up again.0 -

Just a typo. the UW must have been having a bad day. simple change.0 -
Congrats! Hopefully it all goes smoothly for you from now!
Even though we were advised not to we paid our solicitor for the searches the day after our full app went in. We were given a deadline of the 19/02 for completion so we thought we'd take the risk just to get the ball rolling. I need to call them to see how its progressing.
Thank youI hope so, I just want to be in my house now!
Yes do make sure you ring them. I've got to ring my solicitors tomorrow as I emailed Thursday for an update on the searches but received no reply. I understand they have other cases to deal woth but she told me she'd send me each one through when they were finished and advised 10 working days in total. It's been 6 now so surely at least one has been done.
I've found that despite the amount of money we're paying no-one is in a hurry to do anything without being chased.0
