  • Be interested to see how you get on Sweepy as we are roughly at same stage with Nationwide! Good luck

    Ha. Probably.

Have you received your amended offer yet?

:rotfl: Of course not! My broker got back and said we should have the amended papers by Friday, but I don't know if that means that's when they will be reissued or if it already has and will be in the post for then. I'll see what happens on Friday. A bit tense as its 3 weeks on Friday until conclusion of missives...

Does anyone else in with a Nationwide application in Scotland know what happens next?

We are Scottish buyers at the very end. I should have a timeline a page or two back (I'm on the phone and can't be bothered searching back to quote it for you! Haha)

On a positive note, Nationwide have been good with us. We have been dogged with my awkwardly dated bank statements and a 4 day system downage at NW which has elongated our application somewhat. What was absolutely devastating was receiving the mortgage offer, feeling it with my own hands, and noticing the address was wrong...

They have been fairly quick to amend however.
  • Thanks Kay, had a wee read through. So did you get another confirmation text after the Home Report had been confirmed? Hoping we don't have any issues with doc's as everything possible handed to broker! Does anyone know if it's passed UW stage or is it done alongside valuation? Thanks
  • Ps hope you get your amended offer through soon!

Yeah we had the valuation booked txt (I don't really know what that translates to for Scotland?), but the next day we got two txts at basically the same time saying 1. Valuation reviewed 2. Valuation was satisfactory and agreed.

After that it's off to the underwriters. What I did notice was on the Nationwide for Intermediaries website you can see where they are up to with regards to what applications are being marked by seeing when your last document to be submitted was. So I did that to calm my anxious waiting somewhat!
  • Not to sure on dates lol

FTB, applied with barclays using help to buy

    DIP with barclays
    Offered on property
    Offer accepted
    Full application
    Valuation instructed
    4th Feb-Valuation was carried out

Looked on barclays track it and it says they have received the valuation
    It then says
    Stage:!Valuation:!Valuation Result

Status:!We've received your valuation and your advisor will be in touch.

    Anyone had experience with barclays?
Is this a good thing or bad?? Im panicking now

Plus our mortgage advisor asked for our passports the other day for the help to buy but my partners has expired by 7 months, she sent them over still but said they may still want a valid one

Applied with Nationwide on Monday, DIP accept.
Posted docs off 1st class recorded, valuation Booked in and carried out Wednesday. Been keeping an eye on the application online and called them a few times already as they updated the docs online when received but not all of them, it turns out they had jumbled them up and not seen them.

Today I got a call to say the valuation suggested the property had been flooded in the past! They wouldn't tell me the specifics but I have to get the vendor to confirm in writing that it hasn't been flooded. Its all very strange because I know for a fact it has never flooded, it is on high ground and nowhere near a river.
  • Okay - thanks. Am keeping my eye on Nationwide website! They appear to be working on cases from 1st Feb at the moment but only have a timescale of 4 days which is promising - put me out my misery sooner rather than later!! Hopefully receive a text today to say everything okay with home report/valuation but pretty confident with that.... and then off the underwriters as you say!!! Hopefully they're in a good mood as it's Friday lol
  • Changed to 9.5 days now .... that'll be because they've come across mines! haha
