Fingers crossed you hear something. Keep us posted as I think you're about a day ahead of us haha! I haven't heard anything since Friday when NW sent a text saying they had received out valuation (home report) and need to review it! Hopefully the requests for extra documents don't start arriving....

Just heard from the underwriter. They've got the middle name on the documentation now which we were waiting for. He's said it just needs to be assessed, once that's done he'll send me an update and the application will go for final checks before going to offer.

When they say 'going to offer' does this mean the application is through they're just doing the final confirmation of it or does it mean we still have to wait to be accepted?

    Hi Sweepy,

I just called NW aswell and am in a similar position, they need January's payslips and he also said once they're received, 2 working day timescale to be checked and then it will go to offer. So interested to understand what this means also?

I wish somebody had told me that they required January payslips!

Yeah they seem to be on the ball with checking vaguely at the beginning and issuing the valuation, but once that's done they seem to be requesting more things that were never mentioned before. I don't really know what a middle name is so urgently needed for! So I guess I'm looking at the application going 'to offer' by around Wednesday?

By the sounds of it 'to offer' seems like they're going 'to offer', like it's already sorted. Maybe it's been accepted and they're just tying up the last bits of paperwork by requesting all of these things, and then they'll send the official offer. Who knows ha!

I'm not sure why a middle name is so urgent either - maybe someone with same name??? But that's clutching at straws!!

I'm hoping it means they are happy with everything else aswell, just need to confirm our pay etc - which is fine! will send it over to our mortgage broker (who is useless) so we'll be looking at about a month before she manages to send them to Nationwide haha! Surely they wouldn't say 'going to offer' if they had no intention of 'going to offer'

    Fingers crossed for you!!!!!!

My Natwest valuation is today, Monday8th. Homebuyers valuation Countrywide is doing it. Let's hope it comes sooner rathan later.
Can't ur broker chase it up?

Wishing u luck for your valuation today. I emailed my broker the day after valuation and she said it would be 7-10 days before we hear, I presume this is working days so if it is we're only on day 5. So should hear sometime this week. Keep us updated with how you get on!

    Congrats!

We're apparently due for re-offer tomorrow, so fingers crossed! My solicitor isn't overly bothered... Says it's going to be tight but it'll still be okay.

Hi all, have been a lurker on this thread for a while!!!
Heres our timeline, all a bit surreal so far....
Sat 9th jan - viewed house, made offer subject to sale of current house
Mon 11th - our house valued and instructed estate agent
Tues 12th - house went on rm
Thurs 14th - house sold & formal offer accepted on new property
Tues 26th - DIP from Nationwide
Weds 27th - full app submitted
    Fri 29th - valuation instructed
Thurs 4th Feb - valuation carried out
Mon 8th - text to say formal offer made
Now just waiting for the hard copy to come in post.

All on all a fab service from NW so far.
Wish i could say the same about solicitors........
  • Heard back from Melton yesterday, and they had a few queries regarding payments from my account, and requested another bit of paperwork, we supplied all within the hour and they're going to take 4 working days to look at them and then re-assess.....
Housing developer has emailed me saying that Friday is the latest day that they need an answer from the Lender now....
Has anyone had experience with similar? Would they bother asking for more if they were going to decline?
