Well folks that's the last of our documents away to NatWest. Really have our fingers crossed. We got a decision in principle on Thursday, and if it wasn't for the fact my name is on another joint mortgage with my ex partner (property going up for sale imminently) then it would appear to be plain sailing. wanting to borrow £131k on a house valued at 138k. I now have no debts except £400 on a credit card and have always paid all finance on time. I earn 34k. Partner earns 37k and has repayments on 300 a month for her car and a loan with only 9 months to run. Stressful time but broker seemed to think we should be ok! Eek!
  • Text to say formal mortgage offer issued!!! yaay.

Just for future applicants, here was my timeline:

    18/01 Offer accepted on house
    29/01 DIP with Nationwide
03/02 Full application submitted to Nationwide
04/02 Text to say Valuation to be carried out on same day 04/02 (In Scotland)
05/02 Text to confirm Valuation received
08/02 Request for additional payslip which was uploaded same day by broker

09/02 Text to say formal offer issued!!!

Now just to wait for the paperwork..... :)

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!
  • Document uploaded to Nationwide already via broker!! 2 working day count down is on ......

I really should hear something this week then about the offer! Can't fault them, they've been relatively quick and painless, I'm just impatient!

Yeah surely if they say 'go to offer' it means they're going to offer. Otherwise they've spent money and time on valuations and applications that they could have just declined in the beginning!

Wow! That's quick then! So I should expect to hear today or tomorrow! I just wish it would hurry up!

    Congrats by the way!

We have just agreed a new sale price with the vendor, after our valuation ended up below what we originally agreed too.
All sent off to Halifax now & hoping to hear within the next few days.

Wishing u luck for your valuation today. I emailed my broker the day after valuation and she said it would be 7-10 days before we hear, I presume this is working days so if it is we're only on day 5. So should hear sometime this week. Keep us updated with how you get on!

Countrywide did my valuation yesterday for Natwest. They said they'd send the valuation report to the lender within 48hours of it taking place. It is what the Natwest's website is saying too.
Countrywide will send the home buyers report to me within 5 working days.
  • Congrats guys !!! Good luck in the new houses ;)
We still waiting for a decison from Kent Reliance . We thought it would be today . As it has been over 2 weeks now !
The whole process has been a month . And the vendor wants a decision asap 😬
Never been so anxious in my life ! Never refreshed my emails so much but I can't help 🙈 quite tense xxx
