Hi all, thought I would share ours too, especially as its a post MMR application!

3/5 - Viewed, made an offer and had offer accepted on property
3/5 - Speak to Halifax, who we had an AIP with Pre-MMR to find they have pulled the deal we wanted (stamp duty paid as I am a FTB)
7/5 - Meet with MA to discuss other options.
12/5 - Submit all docs to MA so we can apply to Marsden BS for an AIP
16/5 - AIP is successful, prepare for full application
19/5 - Full application is submitted
20/5 - Marsden call me to take first fee of £299, tells me the average processing time is 4 weeks, but could be less as we have an AIP already.

Nice to see so many others timelines and seeing how post MMR is working.

Now to chase our slow solicitors... The owners of the property we are buying are desperate to move out! (They've already had two sales fall through)

We are still waiting for our Mortgage offer after almost 2 months since reserving our plot on a new development. Here is our timeline so far (hopefully to make people feel better about their own delays!)

21/03/14 - Show boyfriend house on Rightmove. Email Estate Agents with queries regarding parking.

24/03/14 - Haven't heard from Estate Agents so decide to call. Talk to Dawn who answers all our questions. We tell her we are interested, but don't know if we can afford it. She gives us details of a Financial Advisor.

25/03/14 - Go into Estate Agents & view model of Development. We like what we see. Book appointment to see Dawn next day. Get call from Carl (Financial Advisor) and fill in his forms.

26/03/14 - See Dawn. Tell her we are interested and would like to reserve. Dawn says she must first get go-ahead from Carl, who she calls there and then. Carl confirms that we can get a mortgage.

27/03/14 - Go and see Dawn again. Pay reservation fee and also instruct Solicitors.

01/04/14 - Fill in Instruction paperwork for Solicitors.

03/04/14 - Mortgage Application is submitted through Financial Advisor. We visit Dawn to choose our kitchen and upgrades.

05/04/14 - Submit Help to Buy form to Carl

07/04/14 - Bloor confirm our reservation. Money taken for valuation of plot. Our case is to be handled by Zara, who works for Carl.

08/04/14 - Valuation takes place. Bloor confirm upgrades.

10/04/14 - Sign paperwork for the Help to Buy side of the Mortgage

20/04/14 - CML form submitted by valuers. (Incorrectly, although we do not know this at the time)

22/04/14 - Confirm Wardrobe choice with Dawn & Sign Contracts

01/05/14 - Contact Solicitors to ask when we will be exchanging. They tell us they are waiting for the Mortgage Offer so we contact FA.

06/05/14 - Contact FA again. She tells us that there has been a problem with the CML form. Our £6k discount is down as an incentive and has messed with all the figures for the Halifax. She is working with the Halifax to get this resolved.

08/05/14 - Solicitors confirm that all searches on the property have come back ok

09/05/14 - We go on holiday. FAis still trying to get the form sorted.

15/05/14 - Email from FA to confirm that she is still waiting for the form

16/05/14 - Return from holiday. Still waiting for response on form.

19/05/14 - Call FA. She has escalated the issue and has been promised a response by the end of the day

20/05/14 - Form is finally sorted! It is submitted to the underwriters and we should have a response within 48 hours. FA advises that really we should have an offer by the end of the week.

I am now driving my boyfriend crazy checking my phone and emails almost constantly waiting for a reply! We just want to exchange!!

    Update:
19/05 - Rang the Natwest mortgage dept, the underwriters were looking at our application today. We should expect the Homebuyers Report money to be taken by EOD tomorrow. I hope they don't query anything & it all goes through smoothly!

I just want it all done now! :o

20-21/05 - Update from our Mortgage Advisor at Natwest - the underwriters are happy and have instructed the valutaion (taken the money for it too). Now we're just waiting for the valuation date text message! :D

I'm still waiting now... but the solicitors have mentioned something about the mortgage offer coming in?! I didn't think it had! I guess since we've had the valuation done, it should only really be a matter of time before the mortgage offer comes in?

The only thing I'm REALLY worried about is Halifax stamp-duty offer. We applied a week before the offer finished, and it was only put off because surveyor's couldn't get round that quickly! If they now rescind on that offer, we'll be !!!!!!ed!

After evrything seeming to move quickly it all feels like its come back to a bit of a halt,

We had the valuation carried out yesterday, I called Natwest just now for an update and they've said they have have the valuation report back and its on their system but its not going to get looked at until the 27th! Bit gutted as I thought I woukd have the mortgage side of things sorted this week, not having to wait another week before I even hear anything more.

After being told yesterday by Natwest we wont hear till next week, OH had a call today saying everything with the valuation came back as expected:T. OH said he couldnt understand the guys thick scottish accent too well but he says he thought that they said they would call us again in 3/4 days to check we still want to proceed and then they will issue the offer.
Has anyone else with Natwest had this?

I might call them tomorrow just to double check

YES! That happened to us. NW said it will be another 5 working days before you hear about the valuation outcome..(I groaned) the very next day the MA called to say it was all fine. We got our offer in the post 2 days later.

11th April - AIP referred with Principality but broker reckons it's due to issue with partners name, gives AIP cert to us.
22nd April - First viewing, partner and I loved it
25th April - First offer made
28th April - Offer rejected. Upped our offer.
30th April - 2nd offer rejected, agreed their asking price and accepted. Appointment with mortgage advisor made.
1st May - Application made, passed credit check and they had no issue with partners name.
6th May - Risked it, instructed conveyancers even though no answer on mortgage. Repo property so need things done asap.
8th May - Broker advised app with underwriters, mortgage valuation booked for Monday 12th
12th May - Valuation took place.
15th May - New bidder comes in. Improved offer slightly after checking position with lender - no adverse comments on valuation, would have lended at original price. Vendor accepts our new offer, new bidder walks away. Back to lender - 5 working days.
21st May - 2nd new bidder comes in . We stand ground, say mortgage offer a day away and won't increase.

22nd May - Finally some good news. Broker calls to confirm mortgage offer :T Though, it is at original asking price before first new bidders came in but we're happy to make up the small difference.

Advised EA of this and they come back to confirm vendor sticking with us, not the 2nd new higher offer, on the basis we exchange by end of next week. Slight issue with absence of easement docs so may just cough up indemnity insurance to get this over with if lenders happy to do so.

    Last hurdle, hopefully! :)

    UPDATE
Couldn't stand the wait any longer so I rang Virgin myself this morning. They have confirmed they've received the additional wage slips and it is now at the final processing stage again and has a target review date of Thursday 22nd May. The advisor was really helpful and he said that we should get our decision by then if not before... fingers crossed

Well I rang Virgin up and they said that the wrong address is shown on some Help to Buy form we have had to complete (even though we are not doing Help to Buy). So another signed form needs to be sent to them. I vented my anger  at how ridiculous it was to need this form when we are not doing Help to buy but because we are 90% LTV it needs to be completed. This is going to be scanned to them tomorrow but low and behold there's another bank holiday coming up (never disliked bank hols so much as what I have this year. Such an inconvenience;)) so probably gonna be another week before we get an offer. Grrrr
They have marked our application as urgent now because I told them we want to complete by the end of June. Fuming is not the word!!
