Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

Ok, so...
We've been told that the paperwork all looks fine but because of the Bank Holiday it will probably be Tuesday before we are issued with the Mortgage Offer.
Does this mean that it will likely be Tuesday before they post it out? Or Tuesday when we receive a physical copy? Any ideas guys?0 -
11th April - AIP referred with Principality but broker reckons it's due to issue with partners name, gives AIP cert to us.
22nd April - First viewing, partner and I loved it
25th April - First offer made
28th April - Offer rejected. Upped our offer.
30th April - 2nd offer rejected, agreed their asking price and accepted. Appointment with mortgage advisor made.
1st May - Application made, passed credit check and they had no issue with partners name.
6th May - Risked it, instructed conveyancers even though no answer on mortgage. Repo property so need things done asap.
8th May - Broker advised app with underwriters, mortgage valuation booked for Monday 12th
12th May - Valuation took place.
15th May - New bidder comes in. Improved offer slightly after checking position with lender - no adverse comments on valuation, would have lended at original price. Vendor accepts our new offer, new bidder walks away. Back to lender - 5 working days.
21st May - 2nd new bidder comes in . We stand ground, say mortgage offer a day away and won't increase.
22nd May - Broker confirms mortgage offer at original purchase price. Vendor sticks with us, for now.
One step forward, two steps back. :wall::wall::wall::wall:
Letter sent from solicitor to lender now after receiving offer as no documents for easement of access and the lack of building reg docs for extension (to me, looks as old as the property!).
Also broker/lender got wrong solicitor details on the offer so this now needs to be updated. :mad:0 -
Hey,
Thought I would join this. We are FTB's waiting for a decision from clydesdale bank.
06/05 Offer Accepted
08/05 Mortgage application submitted with all documentation they could possibly want!
19/05 Valuation done on property
I have now been told I should hear in 6 working days. I have my fingers well and truly crossed.
I am a bit worried as I found a single late payment on my credit card from 31 months ago (my credit file is otherwise in great shape). My MA has told me not to worry though as she doesn't think this will impact their decision.
Best of luck to all you lot too.0 -
Who will find out first about your mortgage offer and how ?? hope its not my agents as they are rubbish and will probably sit on it for a week before telling meIf i knew the answers to all the questions i wouldn't be on here0

14/5 Email sent to brokers, saying we are not happy with the delay
15/5 Reply from broker saying that the valuation has been booked in for Monday 19/5- what a relief.
The application went through MMR, all they asked extra was if we had any childcare cost and to provide wife's latest payslip and my latest contract. Light at the end of the tunnel.......
Update, seems to be confusion all round but still positive.
19/5 Survey done
21/5 email sent from broker, offer will be sent out on the 22/5
22/5 email sent from broker early afternoon, saying offer issued but incorrect address has entered- will be re-issued 23/5
22/5 Phoned Halifax to check status at 7pm, they say it's all ok, addresses are fine and offer has been issued- so it's fixed?!
22/5 receive survey in post- they got house age incorrect and said it was a 3 bed when it's a 4- money well spent.0 -

Hi all,
Sorry to gatecrash but the stress of moving home is getting to me. We now have a mortgage in principle(our second as 90 days had expired on the first) this time the new stringent affordability rules are applying. On the principle offer, where is says what evidence we have to supply, it says, apart from employers reference and banks statements, evidence of current contribution to a pension scheme - help. I don't have a personal pension. Does anyone know if this is a definite requirement, not once did anyone mention it on the phone when applying for the principle. Do other lenders ask for this now?
thanks for reading
