Hi all,
2/5/14 - offer accepted
7/5/14 - application started first contact with MA
9/5/14 - application into Monmouth
12/5/14 - with development manager
14/5/14 - first payment to solicitor for searches
16/5/14 - more paperwork requested. (Bank statements, P60):(
20/5/14 - request confirmation of deposit
21/5/14 - paid for valuation survey
Am hoping its good news that it's at valuation stage? Been such a rush didn't even get a DIP so not sure what problems might be.
Have fallen in love with the house, have great credit history, and just want to know that it's a 'YES' so I can sleep again0 -
MORTGAGE OFFER JUST CAME IN THE POST!!!!!:T:T:T:T:T19ardagh70 wrote: »At last spidereyes...You can enjoy yet another bank holiday, this time you can actually enjoy it !:T:beer:
Haha tell me about it, never knew bank holidays to be so annoying.
If only I could relax, sadly there is a rather large issue thats come up on the title to the property  certainly not what I was expecting.
Its going to have to be resolved before we can proceed, hopefully an indemnity policy will cover our backs but it will have to be referred back to lender to make them aware of the issue.
On the plus side if does happen to all go pear shaped with this particular property at least I know I can get a mortgage!0 -

12/05/14 further documents requested by Santander and provided same day
16/05/15 confirmation application has been passed to underwriters, told to expect a 48 hour turnaround

22/05/14 Valuation done, told full offer is in the post
We are 95% LTV, 5% deposit. We're expecting a much worse waiting time but were pleasantly surprised!0 -
Poppypine - Wish i used your broker because we have the same time frame other than yours went to underwriters 5 days before us and we're still waiting and now yours have gone to valuation...GRRRRR
Well done
Also we are putting down a 20% deposit - First time residential buyers but i own several BTL investments - But the wait is killing my mrs more than me tho because i understand these things do take time and the good old days pre 2008 are well and truly over0 -
I must admit our broker has been absolutely fantastic and has done everything her her power to move things along quickly, she made sure she submitted everything they could ask for with the application. The only thing they requested after app was a more recent bank statement, which broker submitted within the hour so didn't cause a delay.
Very happy with their service and will be using again!0 -
Hello - I posted on here a while ago, I don't have actual timescales, but I'll do my best!
3rd April - AIP applied for and given from Halifax
31st ish April - Full mortgage application submitted
12th May - Valuation carried out
16th ish May - found out the guy doing our mortgage quit, so had a bit of delay here
20th May - mortgage written up to send to head office
22nd May - product fee taken out of account
24th May - mortgage offer received in post!
Another bank holiday of waiting before moving forwards with anything, but oh well! FYI - this was a 95% mortgage with the HTB2 scheme, getting stamp duty paid, but obviously at a premium rateCOMPING WINS:
