    Long time since I updated.

Long story short found another house which after the survey we decided to walk away.

    Found 3rd house, offered accepted.
    28/04 Full application with Halifax
06/05 Valuation instructed - however, the asking price was keyed in incorrectly, 10k too much and the valuation can't take place until it's corrected, which I'm told will be a quick process so hoping the valuation will be booked in tomorrow.

12/05 Update from broker, Halifax are apparently having a nightmare with their systems, told the valuation will be booked the next 24/48 hrs.

FTB 74% LTV, deposit from inheritance. 22yrs old, single application (absolutely bricking it) currently renting, tenancy ends 1/07

17/04 - AIP issued by Nationwide requesting more payslips etc (annoyingly fell on bank holiday)
22/04 - Mortgage application completed (text to confirm it has been received)
24/04 - text to say valuation is booked for 07/05!
07/05 - Estate Agent confirms the valuation has taken place
08/05 - text received for satisfactory survey

    *twiddles thumbs*

and til I get a full mortgage offer? (then I will instruct my solicitor)

If they could let me know soon that would be grand! feels like a lifetime! and it's my birthday so it would be rude not to right?

Update - I got an email from my broker this morning to say that our mortgage has been fully approved and I will get the offer by post in the next couple of days! 11 days from application to offer is really good isn't it? I honestly thought they would come back and ask for more info they (halifax) only needed 1 bank statement, 3 payslips and p60 - no absurd questioning around the new mmr rules, no asking what any transactions were for!

I'm so glad it's all over and done with!

I had to wait 2 weeks after valuation. But they had made a mistake, so after a week of waiting I called them and they had failed to notice that my payslips had not been signed off, so it may be worth calling to check the progress. Nationwide were brilliant and really quick. The number I had was 0845 6093422 and I never had to even wait on hold when calling them!

Also - after getting the text saying I had an offer I called them immediately and they e-mailed me the offer so I didn't have to wait for the post to arrive to make sure it was the full amount :)
