Hi Poppy
I waited a month before I had my mortgage offer with Santander.
Yes agreed the waiting is the worst.
Good Luck:)0 -
Bit of an update on my wait from hell (little bit of an exaggeration)
08/05 Got an email from my Broker saying we should be have an update on Tuesday (13/05)... that will be 3 weeks after our DIP was given and we still don't even have a valuation date... should I get concerned?0 -
Another couple of NatWest hopefuls here!
Applied 28.04.14
Credit checked 28.04.14
Patiently waiting... :think:0 -
Update from me -
9th May - valuation carried out by Colleys (halifax). Broker said they have 48 hours to get the report back to the lender.
Does the application now go to underwriting? How long should I wait before contacting my broker for an update?0 -
Spoke to Halifax advisor last week, who wanted to see a my most recent payslip (as payday had been and gone since my application was approved)
Said all was okay, and that offer should be in the post0 -

If the valuation has been booked then its already been to the underwriter. What they will do now is see if it matches the amount you want to borrow and then issue a mortgage offer letter. If the valuation is less than you offered, or need mortgage for,you negotiate the price with seller0 -
I'm not sure that Halifax do it in that order -maybe one of the brokers can confirm but my valuation and reviewing of my paperwork seem to be going on simultaneously. I'm with lloyds but I think their process is basically the same.0

Just called the lender to inquire and the offer will be posted today. Hurray!
Staggers me that they didn't look at my bank statements or credit check my wife. One payslip was enough for them to lend me over £330k. MMR now makes a lot of sense.0
