Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

Slow for me too. Valuation done yesterday and neither Halifax nor the surveyor will tell me anything, and no reply from the broker yet.
Strikes me as a bit rich that the surveyor won't give me the valuation when I paid £795 for it.0 -

Yes or no decision, *should* be available after 48 hours, so if your survey only happened yesterday, I wouldnt expect to hear until Monday/Tuesday...
And it would be from the Halifax MA, rather than the Surveyor.
Was it just a valuation you had or Level 2/3 survey?
Report can be downloaded online if you've registered your email address - usually 3/4 working days after your survey was undertaken...0 -
Homebuyer report, whatever that is. Was more just after a steer to see if valuation matched asking rather than an answer on the full offer. Ah well - back to waiting!
Just a bit painful when so many on here are going from application to offer in a matter of days with the same lender!0 -
Any of you lot applied through Natwest? I feel like the only one!0

Hi,
We did. Very slow, but got there in the end:j0 -

Valuation matches agreed sale price. Now for final checks and, hopefully, an offer.0

Any advice or previous experience on this would be greatly appreciated.
We had our survey carried out on Tuesday 6th May by LBS and received our results on Thursday.
It has come back okay but they have asked for us to have a timber/damp report ran on the property before they release the offer of mortgage.
They are holding a retention of £1000 on the mortgage offer until this all comes back.
We have it booked in for next week.
Hope makes sense... Any advice welcome0 -

Nat West here too......it took a very long 6 weeks but got the offer in the end and they undervalued by 5% so only offered me 90% of purchase price!0 -

Thanks ukbrockest -
Seems like Natwest are one of the slowest then. I'm paranoid/worried that they'll do the same and offer us 85% instead of 90%0
