23/04 - mortgage appointment was successful in the end, their computer system crashed so couldn't tell us yes or no until what became 5 hours later! But it's all under way now.

    Making progress and still smiling...

30/04 - got a call saying everything was approved and the survey was due to be instructed :-) whoop!

22/4 E-mail from mortgage broker, saying she has checked Natwest's timescales today and it will be 5 working days to start a new case, a bit confused, is this just backlog??

Still waiting for our mortgage offer!! Got lost in the post apparently grrr! Re-sent again yesterday, going to call solicitors on tuesday to see if they will call the bank to get the offer faxed through cos it is holding our vendors up and I am getting really frustrated waiting for it! Solicitors won't do enquiries without the offer either grrr so annoying!

I have submitted a full application with Nationwide on 30th April got a text on 2nd May yo say they are going to value my new build today (yes I know its bank holiday they are working apparently). Can anyone confirm or not if they review the application BEFORE instructing a valuer as I assume they have to pay them? I am being told that once the valuer is instructed, assuming thats all OK you should get a full offer.......???

Good luck everyone waiting on a decision, I'm so annoyed today is a bank holiday!
    Dave02 I would say it's definitely a good sign!

Can any broker shed some light on this? Full application with halifax on Friday 2nd - me and my partner both have 2 credit searches each, one for mortgage quotation and one called unrecorded enquiry? Also, the valuation fee has been earmarked on my account, will probably debit tomorrow as today is obviously a bank holiday is this a good sign?

Those of you who have done a full application with Halifax after MMR was introduces, what documents are they asking to see? Is it still just pay slips?
I am going to apply through a broker this week, and as all of my documents are online I want to have all I need ready.

    Thank you

It has arrived! It actually arrived on Saturday OH just hadn't looked through the post at his house properly! So glad it's finally here, now hoping the solicitors have their copy and that they don't have many enquiries so our vendors can get moving!
