Application went in with Coventry Building Society 15th October
Can see hard checks on my Clearscore record on the 16th.
I'm hoping this will be pretty straight forward although we are after 90% LTV. Anyone know Coventry times at the moment?
I’ve also put in with Coventry for 10% LTV on 15th. Coventry were doing a 2 day offer for 10% so got our application in before the deadline. Nervously waiting... would the lockdown restrictions play any part of them declining it and deciding against 10% deposits now?

Have you heard anything back from them yet?
We applied for the same product.
We were notified that they now have everything they need (had to send my partners P60 as she was furloughed but now back at work) so it has gone to the underwriter and the valuation has been booked although don't know when for. Annoyingly in the letter the sent us my partners first name is wrong, so had to contact the MA today to get that change, on my credit report it now also shows I'm financially linked to the wrong named person, hoping that fixes itself when they correct it.
Ahh, that’s annoying but be patient and hopefully you hear some good news!
We had to send our P60s in also, and today I got an email from our broken saying that our mortgage offer has been issued!

Hey how did you know the valuation was instructed?
Hello. Helpfully, it says this in the NatWest tracker. I also rang Legal and General who confirmed they received the instruction.
Hi. Have you gone through a broker?

I think our valuers (connells) have received the instruction but have not booked anything in yet! Have sent a text to the vendors estate agent saying if he calls they’ve advised they’ll book it in quicker if he reached out but not sure if he will....
Yes, however I rang NatWest and they gave me the reference number which I put into the mortgage tracker website a long with the main applicant surname and DoB.

We’ve done the same. The house builder has contacted Connells in an effort to expedite the process a little.
Ours is booked in for the 12th November. So far away but apparently the earliest they had!
  • Hello everyone! Patiently and nervously awaiting a mortgage lending decision from Coventry BS after we appealed - our mortgage advisor is confident all we be ok as the lender has effectively asked for further info rather than rejected outright - 'invited the appeal' is the words my adviser used.

    AIP - August
Mortgage applied for - 16th October
Further info requested - 20th October
    Appeal submitted - 21st October
We expect to hear tomorrow if the valuation can be instructed.

The issue is that Equifax have the status of one of my wife's credit cards as 'Query'. There is no bad history, a small balance, regular payments to it but since March this year the account has been in Query. MBNA say this is as Equifax have not asked for up to date records so i have opened a case with Equifax. Weirdly the status of the account became 'Query' when we applied for a section 75/chargeback on a transaction (the claim was successful). We have explained this to Coventry and also provided credit card statements for the entire 'Query' period. Our mortgage application is for well under affordability so i really hope this is just a formality.
  • Don't know my exact time line... (I'm too lazy to find out tbh)

Application submitted to Coventry on 14th October.

    Valuer heading to property today.

I am impatient and nervous about underwriting so gave them a call. The advisor said that it looks like the only thing outstanding is the valuation so it's "looking good" .

I'm not gonna read too much into it, as I'm a massive negative Nancy with this stuff and the advisor could be having a lazy day.

But, it's helped to quell things and at the very least I know it shouldn't be long now before I find out fully.

    OK so I'm very shocked!

My full mortgage application with Halifax was submitted through a Mortgage Advisor on Monday (19th Oct).
Today I received an email from my Mortgage Advisor with a copy of my Mortgage Offer attached and the document is dated 21st October which would mean its come through in 2 working days! I didn't even know a valuation had been carried out.

Does this sound like my final offer and I don't need to do anything else? I'm a FTB and this sounds too good to be true haha.
  • Are offers taking longer than usual? I'm 2 weeks into a process and pay slips were submitted last Friday. Got a message on Monday saying 2-4 working days and status will be updated on the tracker.

Coming towards end of the 4th working day now and heard nothing. I'm guessing this could be pretty normal?
