Hi guys, just wanted to join you all good luck with your applications. We are 3rd time buyers but living with family at the moment.
My story so far...................

04/03 viewed house loved it, applied for AIP with nationwide and accepted online.
05/03 put offer in with estate agent
06/03 offer accepted yippee
07/03 Solicitor instructed
10/03 put in full mortgage application with nationwide paid fees
12/03 home buyers report on house done was satisfactory
13/03 received copy of home buyers report via email, confirmation of documents been received from nationwide.

Will be popping to solicitor to do ID and searches payment and hand forms in tomorrow.....

apparently, today is the day il get my mortgage offer (or not) from nationwide. *nerves shot to pieces*

Application sent 14/02.
Told it was with underwriters 26/02
Was asked for up to date statement 04/03
sent it 05/03
back in que
11/03 Told us one of the previous statements isnt scanned well enough to read!
re sent 12/03
told now back with underwriters.

tick tock tick tock.

@ Charleyroo Good luck for today hope you get you mortgage offer agreed.

I'm not sure If ours is going to be agreed (or not) today all I know is they recieved our documents yesterday. I know how you feel I'm as nervous as hell about the whole thing too.

I'm waiting on my santander application too. Santander do it differently from other lenders they give aip then you submit full mortgage application with docs it goes to underwriters to approve and only if it is approved does it get agreed (subject to the survey) which is then carried out. In a way makes sense as you don't waste money on a survey only to get mortgage application declined but they are quite busy and therefore slow. I applied back on 4th march and still waiting to hear if I can go ahead with survey! Nerve wracking!

Kch - That totally makes sense I Bank with Santander but have always used Nationwide for Mortgage (I dont know why just have).

Good luck with your application hopefully you will get some news soon.

Hang on in there guys and girls! We have just received some good news from our broker and we've gone with Santander.....So here it goes: 17/2 Application submitted.......7/3 Valuation......4/3 Confirmation of offer (via broker).................Phew! I was starting to worried.....(apologies not able to put new lines in for some reason)

Still not got offer - entry date second week of April beginning to panic now.

Natwest surveyors checked honebuyers report all ok sent back to natwest for offer to go out. 14/3. Informed by broker should have formal offer of loan by next wed/thur. So stressed gives us 3 weeks to conclude missives on sale and purchase and move in.

Im the same i have 4 weeks on monday to move in date and still have no agreement from natwest.:mad:
