Ok I feel like I can join in now!

    AIP - 18/01/14
    First viewing - 09/03/14
    Offer accepted 10/03/14 :T
    Solicitors picked 10/03/14

Tomorrow I shall make an appointment to do the mortgage application. Even though we have the AIP I'm terrified we won't get the mortgage for some reason! I guess that's normal though.

Can't believe this is actually happening!!!

It's gone to the underwriters today! Broker reckons should hear back within three, possibly two days! So nervous can't help feeling really negative about it though

That's great news! Have fingers crossed for you :)

Please let mine go to underwriting soon! :D

I feel exactly the same, even though we have applied for 30k under the AIP and nothing has changed to my knowledge.

Still waiting for a decision from HSBC, I think they must be still catching up after the system problems.

Finally have our mortgage offer today, one month after submitting paperwork etc. Very pleased.

Yeah we are about £20-25k under the maximum we were offered under the AIP from Nationwide and Halifax. I keep checking the online calculators to maker sure we've not gone wrong!

We saw a couple of lenders (no official mortgage advisor but my sister's boyfriend is a mortgage advisor so using him!) and have options to go with several. We've got it down to Natwest or Nationwide. Just waiting for natwest to confirm if they'll up their previous offer as it was £5k under what we need now as we discussed cheaper houses in the meeting. If they say no it will be nationwide! Both have same rates and similar fees/costs but we'd rather go with Natwest as we already bank with them and Nationwide want us to switch our current accounts to them.:undecided

So frustrating! There was a discrepancy to do with the water supplier  so something had to be redone. I was a bit surprised so didn't ask any of the right questions while I had solicitor on the phone
Now aiming to exchange on the 21st, 10 days behind schedule!
