13 days from Valuation!? I was under the impression with Santander they do all the underwriting before they book the valuation so once that's been done it would be quick? :(

I beleive that is true, i.e. once valuation is instructed you personally have been accepted.

It just seemed to take an age to confirm full acceptance and issue offer once the valuation came back.

the frequency of updates has dropped quite a lot since paying his fee lol. Hopefully hear something soon.

aww that's a shame. the broker i used on my first purchase 3 years ago (and the same one i'm using now!) chased people up to and including completion day. which is just as well, cos no one else was chasing each other :)
    Spreadsheet-obsessed.

    This is mine, FTB

    15/02/2014 - House viewed
16/02/2014 - Second viewing and offer accepted
18/02/2014 - AIP by Natwest completed and accepted
    21/02/2014 - Solicitors instructed
22/02/2014 - Application submitted to Natwest
25/02/2014 - Reference recieved and application in the system
26/02/2014 - MA faxed evidence to Natwest
27/02/2014 - Evidence accepted, awaiting underwriter decision for valuation

No one else seems to be with Natwest. Hate waiting, and my MA is so laid back with the whole process - I've got more information ringing Natwest directly and obtaining my updates.

I faxed the packaging on a NatWest case to them on Tuesday and it's not expected to be accepted and valuer instructed until tomorrow.

Great thanks - my seller keeps questioning my mortgage application status as they have had two buyers fall through due to mortgage application rejections. So just anxious to get the survey booked, as its one step further then the last two buyers.
  • Joe427 I'm with the Natwest our full application went in middle of last week and our MB said that the survey will be booked by tomorrow 28/02, nothing has been taken as of yet but starting to feel a bit anxious about it all.Its our first house purchase so don't really know what to expect. Time frame wise etc..

our application was put in on 14th. Was told by broker it was with the underwriters on Monday. Still no update. Starting to panic now. Santander.

Santander are now looking at applications sent to their underwriting queue on Tuesday, they should have therefore cleared all of Monday's. Phone your broker to check the Santander MATS system as there very well should be an update for you, good luck :T

Not sure quite how true the "today we are looking at xxx received on xxx" updates are, patience seems to be the key with santander.

I'm only doubtful as our app went in on the 13th but wasn't looked at until late on the 21st when the site was saying on the 18th they were looking at apps from the 13th :)
