I’m with Barclays HTB, FTB. We had hard checks done on the day of the proper application and ok ( they don’t do any more hard checks ) 30/06 .ftbamy2020 said:Does anyone know if Barclays only do a hard check at the AIP?My credit report shows a hard check in the 16/6 when we applied for AIP and nothing since. According to my broker the underwriters have looked at my application and are waiting to make a decision based on the valuation. I thought the underwriters would have done a hard check though. But we didn’t finish the application till 2/07 ( they needed our landlord details etc) - declaration send .
7/07/ - underwriting done and valuation approved
” Application all assessed and all fine. They are now booking the survey for you”
9/07 - valuation booked for 17/07 .
our track it shows - you key facts and I know about the valuation date from the developer.1 -
The estate agent called me to ask why it hadn’t been booked all ready? 🤦🏼♀️ They hadn’t been asked for access as of yesterday, hoping we have an update & valuation booked for this week 🤞🏻watch3r said:
Try the seller and check with them . Our sales rep called me on Thursday that Barclays booked our valuation, broker on Friday said they still don’t have a date for it and online tracking is beyond useless.nwh07 said:
we have also gone with tsb. we applied the 18th june and still had no date for valuationEnerzeal said:Currently waiting on tsb right now. All information submitted, additional information submitted again on friday last week. Broker says tracker states info recieved but not yet processed as of yesterday. (6 days later) sent know what's happening with the valuation.
Literally cannot imagine going through another weekend of waiting.
our broker said they are extremely delayed so ours is still in the queue to be looked at by the underwriter.0 -

Oh no, but I guess look on the positive side, you’re just waiting for the final offer now 😊 Congratulations!xx_mstilda_xx said:
Thanks @heston2014. I thought that too - I called them direct this afternoon but they said they couldn't find my application (not what you want to hear!!!) Then said as I'd applied through a broker that's *probably* why they couldn't find it and to contact our MB directly for an update... 😣 So calling them just ramped up my paranoia rather than putting my mind at rest like the intended purpose of making the call 🤦♀️heston2014 said:
As we went direct, we called up to check when valuation will be booked. This was the day after we received text 'mortgage approved subject to valuation'. That's when we found out that valuation had already taken place and they issued our final offer on the spot. So perhaps contact HSBC directly to chase? In case your MB isn't chasing them frequent enough?xx_mstilda_xx said:On Wednesday our MB advised we had an accepted decision from HSBC (valiation was apparently the Friday before - 03/07 and satisfactory - woohoo!). Yesterday they said HSBC were doing some 'final checks' and issuing our offer.
Generally how long is it from acceptance to receiving the offer? I've seen a number of timelines where the offers have come through the same day (via e-mail/text?) but not sure if that's usually standard with HSBC 🤔
Now the wait continues to get an update from our broker...
Thank you!🤞 I hope the "final checks" aren't something that has caused a problem, whatever they may be, given that no offer has come through as yet... but will chase our broker for an update on Monday if we don't hear anything.heston2014 said:

I need to get a grip - I feel like the waiting has made me crazy 😂 I guess that's what happens when years of your hard work and dreams are sat in someone else's hands for a yay or nay 🤷♀️0 -

Anyone waiting on NatWest?Valuation was instructed 5th of May and finally done 9th of July!! Surveyor made a passing comment to estate agent when he picked up keys and said he didn’t know if mortgage company would lend on this type of house. So this was passed on to us and we are now worrying after all the wait we might not have a mortgage. Anyone had a valuation for NatWest lately and know how long it takes from valuation to offer?0

Oh no Creditfixer - I am so so sorry to hear this. I can’t imagine how you feel. So frustrating especially at this late stage when it seemed in the bag. Is there anything you can do to appeal? Seems ridiculous if it’s so much cheaper overall than what you are currently paying.Creditfixer3021 said:We found out our mortgage was declined today by Santander.
we’re beyond gutted but learnt a lot from going through this process over the last few weeks. Back to renting for the next couple of years
good luck everyone0 -

Anyone had a valuation for NatWest lately and know how long it takes from valuation to offer?Hi, my MB submitted my application on the 9th June and valuation completed 3 weeks later and was with the underwriter to sign off on the 26th June. I didn’t hear anything for another 2 weeks so I chased MB up and they requested an urgent update from NatWest and apparently a decision/offer will be made tomorrow. I’ve found that I’ve had to chase now and then to get things moving!1

We were the sellers to someone waiting for their Natwest Offer. Took exactly 4 weeks from date of valuation to Offer Received which seemed like an age. Seems some Natwest customers are lucky and some unlucky in how long it takes. Don't worry too much, they will get around to yours but patience is required.AilieG01 said:Anyone waiting on NatWest?Valuation was instructed 5th of May and finally done 9th of July!!
