I would like to add what I hope is accepted as a constructive comment to this forum regarding TMO. I have just been in contact with TMO through the forumqueries Team e-mail route regarding the initial rejection of my first cashback claim. By corresponding politely, objectively and considerately I have found them to respond in a likewise manner. They have now committed to honouring my cashback claim and have been prompt, considerate, constructive and fair in their dealings with me. I know there is a lot of negative feedback on TMO on this forum, but I will only judge them on my own experience - and that has been excellent up to yet. It has taken less than 24 hours to resolve my situation and my case was a potentially weak one. I do now have to wait for my cashback money to be sent to me, but they have left me feeling confident that they will fulfil this as agreed. I will confirm this via the forum upon receipt of my cashback. My thanks to the Forum Queries Team at TMO and also my thanks to all who have contributed to this forum - it is required reading and a real education for anyone experiencing similar problems, or just looking to get genned up.0

I have had a great experience so far with TMO. They always email me with a note saying they recieved my claim and then that (so far so good) they accepted them. I have banked £160 so far! I had to chase up a missing cheque but after a quick phone call they sent it the following day.
The only hassle apart from this was down to the Royal Mail strike. As the Post Office said they had no idea when special delivery mail would reach the destination, I decided to send in my latest claim by DHL. Unfortunately DHL returned ny claim unopened today saying the office was closed down. Again a quick call to TMO sorted things out, and they informed me that they are operating from a diferent (temporary) office now, and only mail processed by the Royal Mail is being re-directed to their temporary office. The guy simply gave me their address in Bradford and said I should send it there.

...As I didn't wait til the last minute to send the claim, I still have time to resend the claim well before the 21 days run out!0 -
I’d also point out that (from the emails I’ve received) you seem to be the only one who didn’t twig what “poor tmovictim” was and got publicly suckered.
Tell me more, if there are people you associate with that are imping for kicks that is rather sad.
I can't have been the only person suckered if it took emails to you to explain what was going on.
I do take on board your comment about post numbers, I can see three now that won't be here for much longer.
Doesn't it irk you that you spend so long writing long posts that just get deleted? You, of course, know the true identity of a certain other poster on here and I, in turn, know the identity (and gender) of another.

Thanks to those who replied to my question about Mobile Outlet's mail forwarding. I agree with you that as long as my letter was tracked by Royal Mail as delivered, that alone should be a good enough proof.
Nevertheless, the reality is that Mobile Outlet have unfortunately alleged that my claim was received late. I was just posting a question to see if any other claimants had the same problems with rejection/delays for claims posted around the same time (23 July).
To those who are fighting to get their cashback, good luck!
Thanks again!0 -

Hi xenoonex,
I posted my third claim (Special delivery) on July 26 and it was redirected, but it still got there the next day. My claim was successful and I got the payment (eventually)0 -
I do hope that you, being of greatly sounder mind, did not infer any criticism of you whatsoever in what I wrote and that I have not deterred you in any way from continuing your marvellous postings on here.
Ha ha no problem Brenda! I took no offence.
After all, you were only giving your opinion! I'm not sure I wholly agree with you when you recommend that users seek legal advice before claiming. But I guess that's because I didn't bother to do this myself before claiming and I felt I had a strong case. Also, I've never availed myself of the Trading Standards office. I guess I have a reasonable amount of common sense and good understanding of the English language which was enough to sort my claim out. Well, that and a belief that the laws in this country are there to ensure fair play and to protect the consumer. There was one lone poster on another forum who took TMO to court and that was enough to persuade me to do the same. (Ironically, I did not find this excellent thread until after I started to claim.) I agree that others, perhaps with weaker claims than mine, would fine legal advice beneficial.
Onto the subject of the new (temporary?) address for TMO, I spoke to the bailiff on Monday 24.09.07 regarding my claim (I'm still pursuing them for the £55!), and as I understood it, the warrant was being updated with the new address. In fact she said that all outstanding warrants were being updated. I have just phoned the bailiff's office again, but unfortunately the bailiff was not there. However, I have managed to obtain her direct line and will contact next Monday. Although I'm not quite sure of what material benefit this new address would be to others because, as "thesaint" said earlier today, it doesn't really matter if TMO is redirecting their mail to a new address as the address listed on TMO website has not changed. But will try to get it anyway.

However, it would be reassuring for everybody to know where TMO can actually be found, especially if the postal dispute escalates to a degree that requires claimants to find other means of submitting their claims to TMO.
Hi Brenda,
No problem, I understand exactly what you are saying.
I will try to find this out this alternate address next week from the court bailiff, and post this so that all can see. Cheers.

Hi all. Your opinion on the following would be very useful.
I received my 7th bill dated 17th August (I made a copy) and sent it by special delivery on 6 September. It was signed for on 7th September (am) and I have a copy of the electronic proof of delivery.
I have just received a letter saying that "the 7th bill was received after the 21 day timescale......."
Actually the t+cs state "....you will need to forward bills .........within 21 days of the issue date...... "
I am pretty sure that I forwarded the bills within 20 days and they were received within 21 days but I am curious about what the rest of you think. Am I wrong?? I'm a mathematician curiously enough......
Thanks in advance
Thanks to grayme-m for your reply. Does anyone think I returned the claim too late??0
