    Not this OLD CHESTNUT again....
Mobile Matters (UK) Ltd is the company, trading as the Mobile Outlet. There is NO proposal to strike off...

You need to read the entire thread

What I did when I used MCOL was to enter the defendant as 'Mobile Matters (uk) Ltd t/a 'The Mobile Outlet'

Hope I haven't mis quoted the TMO hence invalidating my MCOL:confused:

  • kltpzyxm,
As I stated, they have been paying me £89 each time, but the first £89 was after 4 months when I had paid £180. I was just wondering if anyone knew what the final 2 payments should be in total, as even I can work out that £45 x 12 = £540, but dived by 5 does not make £89!
I was only asking, dont know why you have to be so rude!!!!!!!

I suppose it's a small victory to get any money out of the TMO;)

    Hi msmc,
    I don't think you are a pest.
    In the T&C it states
11.4.2 claim each instalment of the Line Rental Entitlement (Cashback) Claim within 60 days of the relevant Instalment Date. If your claim is received outside this 60 day period, your cash back entitlement will be void.
The way I read this is that you have 60 days from the Instalment date (i.e when you have been connected for 120 days) to get your claim to TMO...send it as soon as you possibly can....

Anyone violently disagree with my view of this......

Hi I am also a victim of TMO. They paid me the 1st cashback claim but failed to pay me for the remaining 4. although the 2nd cashback was approved, these cheaters made loads of crappy excuses for delaying payment after many phonecalls and emails. And then on my 3rd claim, they sent me a letter accusing my claim to be late and said I had violated the contract so refused to pay me. I knew my claim wasn't late so I written 2 recorded delivery letters to them threatening them with court action and to provide me with concrete evidence that my claim was late. However, they failed to reply not surprisingly and I am still racking my brains to see if it's worth making a court claim against them. Does anybody know how to check whether TMO is telling the truth that my claim was late? I sent it by recorded delivery. I would really like to confirm this point before I consider pursuing them thru the courts as I don't want them to have a chance of defending themselves and me ending up losing money and the case.Does anybody reckon it's still worth taking legal action against them since there maybe a possibility they could go into liquidation pretty soon? Any other suggestions? Thanks.
  • HI,
I have 3 phones with TMO and I have been waiting since Aug for the 11th & 12 month cashbacks on all 3 phones. I have receievd the confirmation and acceptance emails, and chased by phone many times with promises to be paid within next 3 days, but to no avail.
I am now going to go to their offices myself, but I have a problem!!
I dont know how much I am owed!!

Does anyone know what the last 2 payments should be for months 11 & 12?
We were on the Orange £45 per month contract and from what I recall, the cashbacks were in 5 equal payments of £89, so I think I am owed around £180 for each phone.

Correct, TMO work out the total amount of cashback over the course of the contract and then divide it by the total number of cashback instalments i.e., £400 cashback due over duration of contract made in 5 payments is equivalent to 5 identical payments of £80. Check your terms and conditions because it will be detailed. Don't forget VAT when doing your sums.

  • Can someone please help me ??

Purchased phone in june 2007. Appplied for months 1-4 cashback and received response that it has been accepted but still waiitng for money to be depositied into my account like everyone else. The problem is that despite meeting their terms & conditions perfectly for the first cashbalck claim, i forgot to keep a copy of the dispatch note which had my terms & conditions on the back. I think the next cashback stage is bills 5-7. can someone confirm this and also remaining cashback claim phases. Does anyone also know where I can get a copy of the terms & condiitons. Remember I purchased my phone June 2007 and the T & C on the mobile outlet website seem to have changed now. Regarding outstanding first cashback claim, think I am going to write a formal demand letter to the registered company, trading address and directors address. Is this still the best way to kick things off ??

    thanks in advance.

Yes, the next claim requires bills 5,6 & 7.
I can email you a copy of the T&C which I took from the TMO website in June 2007 if you PM me with your email address. The T&C are also posted on an earlier page in this thread. If I were you, I'd read ALL of the posts in the thread. Yes, I know its 100+ pages long, but it's worth it.....
