Email dated 15th June definitely states payment by cheque in 10 working days? Is bacs payment only for contracts taken out after a certain date?

My contract started in March 2006 and the first cashback, after 6 months, was paid by cheque. The second cashback (although a couple of months late) was paid via BACS, therefore it shouldn't make any difference when the contract was taken out.

Just make sure that your bank account details are the same as when then contract was started, as this is where the money will be sent to.

I took out my contract April 2006. So, thought I was awaiting a cheque as that was what my 6 month cashback was. I don't remember providing my bank details, was this part of registration? (They charged the £1.99 processing fee to my credit card back in April 2006)

Hi Hessian, you should have given your bank details so they could set up the direct debit to take the monthly payments from your account. It will be this account that the BACS payment will go into.

So whichever account your statements show money being taken out for H3G is the one that you will have it refunded to.

    GunJack's back :D

Been away from home for a week, new job but not moved house and all that. How's everyone doing ??

cashback claim #2 of 5 update:-

today is day 53 for cb claim #2. Despite, as posted over a week ago, being told to expect BACS payment in 7-10 (working) days, I have come home to find no cb payment has been made. I have e-mailed TMO on all three e-mail addresses about it, stating that I now have bill #9 and so will be sending in cb claim #3 of 5 as per their t&c's, but I expect payment of cb #2 in 5 working days or I'll be forced to take matters further. I hope that this does the trick, else I'll be filling in the MCOL forms faster than a speeding bullet.....

    Hi Gunjack,
I'm in a similar position to you. Today is day 38 for me. On day 29 I sent a polite reminder to the 3 email addresses and got the "we have a 3-4 week postal backlog" excuse. After a further email exchange, I received a response indicating that a BACS payment would be made within 7-10 days. That 7-10 days will expire next week, at which time I, like yourself, will escalate the matter to the next level.

k - I got the 3-4 week backlog message AFTER the claim successful/payment in 7-10 days...notably from different e-mail addresses !! Customer Services gave me the thumbs-up, but cashback team a day later gave me the 3-4 week delay one. I'm going with the "7-10 days and is now well late" stance......

GJ - I'm not expecting my payment to arrive within the 7-10 days as promised by TMO. I'm of the opinion that this is merely another delaying tactic to hang on to the money for another 2 weeks, followed by at least another week that people normally allow in a letter before action....

sent my 3rd claim on 19th June via special delivery, record showing they recieved it on 20th June. Since 25th last Monday I sent five emails to them asking for confirmation that they recieved but none was replied. really annoying....

I sent only the first page of my bills with my name and address on. I am wondering whether they are waiting until 2nd of July (the last day of 21 days period) then tell me that my claim is refused because the whole bills need to be sent.

Anyone have any reply from TMO last week?

    Hi ppyim,

No need to ask if they received it....royal mail shows that THEY DID..
I have only ever sent the summary sheets (twice) apart from 1st claim (delivery note also) and each time I have received confirmation that my claims have been successful....usually around 28 days after they received my claim......different ballgame getting the money tho....LOL

Thanks kltpzyxm for your reply. It gives me a bit confidence now. When I sent my first two claims and asked for confirmation, they replied in two or three days, this time it seems a bit strange. well, I should know how TMO deals with customer.

    Fingers cross..
