hi, just to let you know companies house have confirmed this morning that MO have not gone into insolvency.
Lets hope MCOL comes back before it does!0 -
That's good news but I'm still very concerned about the number of outstanding ccj's and the length of time some of them have been registered. It does sound as though no one has got any money out of MO recently whether by normal cashback or via a ccj.

Need advice on the following:
Brought 2 identical contracts on 21/05/07 one is under my dads name the other under my sister-in-laws name, they have both breached contract due to the same reasons. If I’m representing them both would I be the claimant in MCOL, & could both these be combined under one claim.
Thanks0 -

Hi can anyone please tell me what I would need to make a claim. I am owed payments for myself and parter from the end of September and one from the end of November. Is it too earlier to claim for November's? (Do I need to give them so long to pay?) I haven't received an acceptance email for them, but I've been told that they have received it and i will get one. But I won't hold my breath! I have proof of postage that they were sent recorded delivery, but I didn't photocopy the phone bills. Will this be a problem? Thanks0

Jeppy,
roadkilluk has suggested that TMO have moved (see this post).
I dont this is a bad idea because there are quite of few of us owed money.
Why dont we all arrange a trip to their offices?
I and my partner are owed nearly £1000 so a trip to Bradford would be worth it if I get my money!0 -
I'd be up for that, I'm going to be owed £1,330 this year, plus £144 for last yearI didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!
Quidco and Topcashback, £4,569
Shopandscan, £2,840
Tesco Double The Difference, £2,700
Thomson EU261/04 Claim, £1,700
British Airways EU261/04 Claim, EUR12000 -
when are we all going then? seriously, taking half a day off work to hopefully get a cheque out of them would be well worth it!0

GOOD NEWS: After almost writing off my chances of getting cashback out of The Mobile Outlet I found on this thread that they were now situated in temp offices at BRADFORD CITY FC GROUND. I paid them a visit today and left with a cheque for £300 which covers my three payments from Aug & Sept & Nov last year.
My advice to anyone would be to pay them a visit. I bombarded them with emails and threatened them with court action without success, yet after only 15 mins onsite I got my cash! I only hope you are as successful.
GOOD LUCK0 -
It does seem from others who have won ccjs against them that they take as much notice of a ccj as they do of lbas, e-mails, letters, etc.
Though James212 did report the bailiffs succeeded for him back in November.
Hi,
The bailiffs were very successful for me. I think I got a cheque within two weeks of applying for a warrant! The only problem was that, despite the fact I'd allowed TMO sufficient time after I'd won the claim to pay up (and actually telephoned them warning I was about to get the bailiffs involved), the cheque was dated the day before I applied for a warrant - to put this into context the cheque I received was dated 2 weeks before I received it - and was £55 less than it should have been. I think they did this deliberately to try to get out of paying for the warrant (cost £55), by dating the cheque before the warrant was issued. Perhaps they thought I wouldn't bother to chase them for the remaining £55. So I spent the next couple of months chasing up the £55 every couple of weeks, but I got it enventually, in October or November I think it was.
Personally, my advice is to not hesitate to get the bailiffs involved, once you have judgement in your favour. A helpful lady on the MCOL Helpdesk told me that although you can apply for a warrant (i.e. bailiffs) the day after you have won judgement, you may choose to allow the defendant perhaps 5 days after they have received notice of the judgement to pay. I think I did this and even telephoned TMO up telling them of the impending warrant - and the cost - and they never called me back! I think unless you get the baillifs involved, you run the risk of TMO ignoring your judgement or at least further delaying paying you, although I have read that there is a monthly register of CCJs that have not been fulfilled (paid) that affects the company's ability to obtain credit. So this may be an incentive for TMO to pay you the money. But a month is a long time, when you are owed money, and with the risk that as time goes on, the company may fold. The only downside is that you have to fork out another £55 for a warrant but this just gets added to the amount TMO owe you, so unless they fold, you don't lose out.
