  • Hello all,
I was just wondering if a LBA VIA email is suffient or should I write and send recorded delivery as I have issued a LBA to TMO via email but will re issue via recorded post if necessary (My case is the same as the previous shed loads who have failed to get any cashback whatsoever so I'm on the verge of going down the road of MCOL but thought that email version was fine but now not so sure...

woodie - no, do not just e-mail it. Post it AND e-mail it to all their addresses !!!

..oh, and do not e-mail it as an attachment in case their firewall strips it on the way in, copy & paste it into the main body of the e-mail......

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • Hi presta35 (and anyone else that might be wondering),

I was in the same position as you - I sent off my first claim last week.

I wasn't sure which address to send my claim to, so called TMO customer services on 0871 427 3500 , they advised me to send it to the address on the website:

    Line Rental Entitlements (Cashback)
    The Mobile Outlet, Cashback Dept

    3/4 Riverdale House
    Dockfield Road

    Shipley
    BD17 7AD

They also advised me to send all bills and all pages, along with despatch note, copy of terms and conditions and 1st voucher.

I sent everything using Special Delivery.

Now praying that i'll get my payments!!

dont bother calling them again as u will just waste more money. i have called a few times via wk and they lie to you. they even try and tell u the line is breaking up (especially if you mention a royal mail reference number to confirm you have sent the invoices in) They did this twice to me. What i do now is ask first if the line is clear and they tell them not to say teh line is breaking up because you know what there tactics are.

Hi Irdman, I am waiting for my second claim which I sent on 05/11/07 special delivery and was received by The Mobile Outlet 06/11/07. I have to date received no acknowledgment and have tried to call the 0870 number and emailed them numerous times. They just ignore my emails. They too have said, sorry the line is breaking up. They try every trick in the book to get rid of you. They say Ill send a message throught to cashbacks but they never get back to you. I am sending an LBA today and then will pursue a money claim if Ive not heard from them in 14 days time. To anyone thinking of going with The Mobile Outlet, don't bother its a waste of time and more importantly money! I'll go with E2Save next time as I had no problems with them.

I wonder if that is correct? That was the address myson sent his 1st claim to and it was dissallowed as it was a day late as it was re-directed by Royal Mail. Where to we do not know. Now in the middle of a court claim. Good luck I hope you get your money

Good luck to you too! Lets hope we can take on TMO and all win:j
  • If you remember my last post, then you'll know that I call in person to their address (The one in BRADFORD) and 'chatted' to some chap who gave me a cheque for the amount owed to me. I'd like to tell you all that the cheque was honoured. I hope this provides some hope for those of you out there.

I have another cashback to claim back so I'm going again in person later this week after work.
As I will have no proof of postage, will a piece of paper saying what I've handed over with 'their' signature on suffice?

I'll let you know how I get on.

    Hi.

The 28 day period for return of cashback is now ten days overdue. On the one hand, it has been near Christmas and I have head of things being delayed in the post. On the other, I don't want to start down the road of 'waiting and seeing' which will probably never end.

Would it be adviseable to play firm and send a polite demand notice for the overdue amount, and if so, is there a template for that which can be used?

I have already checked my bank account and there has been no deposit there, just in case tMO decided to use BACS instead of cheques.

    Thanks.

    Hussein.

No need to give any days of grace because of holidays - they would not give you any if your claim was due in to them during this period.

If you read the thread you will see that rarely does payment follow smoothly from a correct claim being submitted.

Start chasing the money now - if you are prepared to use the court to get your money, then start now by sending a LBA.
