In some ways it does matter, as one charges 25% & the other 27%. Guess ill go with the cheapest. But first I'll telephone asking for Impartial advice for my unique case0

Where did you get 25% from? I went through EU claims who sent it to Bott. It's 27% of compensation plus €25 per person admin fee.0 -
Today Bott & Co have informed me that Thomas Cook are finally paying up ! Id rather pay these who have done all the work for me than attempt to do it myself. Something is better than nothing. Absolutely chuffed0

Everything in this thread looks extremely positive. Have just filed a claim with Bott & Co for 2 flights with Ryanair which were delayed by 4 hours in 2009. Watch this space!May'18 DEBT FREE!

Thomas Cook have worn me down with their games. I know I have a case so contacted Bott. As their records can't find my flight from 2008 they can't help either. Really fed up.0

If you know you were on a flight with TC but not sure of the dates etc then you need to do a subject access request under the data protection act. It will cost £10. You need to ask them to provide you with a copy of ALL information they hold on you.
They must provide it by law within 40 daysPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0 -

Thanks for reply
They admit we were on the flight, admit it was late but
“G-TCAC total fluid loss from nose gear oleo. Aircraft moved to MAN hangar and oleo seals replaced. No previous undercarriage leak or extension issue.” The cause of this delay could not reasonably have been foreseen and as such is an extraordinary circumstance.
NBA issued but the court process is too daunting0 -

If they have proved you were on the flight, surely that info should be enough for Bot and Co?
As for the above, to me it suggests that is a maintenance issue and not extraordinary circumstances. Court process shouldn't be daunting - just time consuming but I would suggest your case would be settled either before or on the day in question0
