Anyone used EU Claim/Bott & Co?

Hello to everyone on this forum.
I have to support the many good statements already made by others before me.
Bott and Co picked up the pieces of my case when I lost my small claims court case against Jet2 in June of this year. I was quite literally devastated when the District Judge at Stockport County Court dismissed my claim stating that the technical fault was an extraordinary circumstance.
I was sure he had made a mistake, but what could I to do? After examining my alternatives for a day or two I realised that I had no alternative, I could’t take this case any further on my own. I made a phone call to Bott and Co who I had seen mentioned on this forum. During that initial conversation I immediately got an instinctive feeling that they were the right company.
Within a couple of hours I was at their offices in Wilmslow where my instinct was proven to be correct. I had a long friendly chat with Coby Benson who had a lot of empathy with my case and what I had been through.
Within days they had lodged an appeal on my behalf which was put before His Honour Judge Platts in the Manchester County Court on 15th October. Once I had read and digested the skeleton argument that they were to use I felt very confident again that the appeal would be successful.
His Honour Judge Platts took his time to examine the arguments in great detail and found, quite emphatically I feel, in our favour.
Throughout this process the solicitors and staff at Bott have been great to deal with, friendly, approachable and very easy to talk to.
I think they are doing a great job in slowly but surely closing the doors that the airlines have been using to escape their legal obligation to pay compensation for long flight delays. In this respect I feel that they are doing us all a great service.
I personally don’t begrudge paying Botts fees for the service they provide. After all I have been through to get to this point it’s no longer just about the money, it’s about justice and Companies like this make justice more accessible to all. I couldn’t have done it without them and for that I’m eternally grateful, however, it’s not over just yet. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
Superb first post Tyzap - written as though you have been on MSE for years! Congratulations to both you and Bott & Co - your joint tenacity has established a ruling which provides confidence to many a claimant.0

Well done Tyzap. I'm sorry that you were the victim of a poor judgement, but I congratulate you for having the tenacity to refuse to crumble. Your fortitude, as 111KAB says, has created a new ruling that should help many, many people.
You say that it is not over just yet. Does this mean Jet2 are considering an appeal? Now that really would be something ...0 -

Exactly, it's about justice after appalling treatment by an airline. Well done.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Tyzap, well done, many congratulations and also, many many thanks. Without your tenacity and determination I would probably not have been successful in having Jet2's application for permission to appeal dismissed. The compensation, whilst welcome, becomes secondary to upholding the principle.0

I'm going to ask them on my chances & lodge my details with them
Do euclaim use bott? So do I go to euclaim or botts website ? Euclaim take 25% & bott 27%?
Now, to be sure, if we win or lose, we pay nothing apart from botts 25e admin fee (and court fee?) & nothing else ?0 -

The detail is in the small print which has been discussed earlier in this thread, so have a good read of the earlier posts.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

So page2 says they take out insurance & I wouldn't have to pay the other party costs.
Now, why do eu claim specify different %'s & would I go through eu claim or directly to bott? Anyone?0 -

I am to busy and could live without the stress of doing it myself so 27% is a small price to pay under the circumstances.
I contacted Bott & Co to "take up the cudgels" of both cases.
Have already received compensation for the delay that Monarch wouldn't respond to and the other case is lined up to go to court.
They took all the stress out of the process and kept me informed every step of the way and I would rather have 70% of something than 100% of sod all.0 -

It doesn't matter whether you go to Bott & Co website or EUClaim website. Both navigate you to the start of the process, which is made to EUClaim and then passed on to Bott & Co0
