  • I was delayed over four hours on an Easyjet flight to Malaga. Believing I could claim compensation I contacted Easyjet twice and surprise surprise I got no reply. I contacted Bott and Co around three months ago and yesterday i received over £200! I was kept updated throughout and can't speak highly enough of them. It was a simple process and I totally recommend them

I've left my case with Bott & Co, however its now been well over a year, however I feel I've had to chase up every bit of information from them. I've just sent an email requesting a bit more personal feel to their letter as it seems these guys are just firing out a standard letter (they basically quoted the same wording today that they quoted nearly 3 weeks ago) when I asked for an update after the Huzar decision.

While Bott and Co (with whom I have no connection) are quite able to defend themselves, I am sure that, as a result of the Supreme Court decision they will now find themselves with a huge backlog of stayed cases all of which have to be revived. It isn't always possible to reply to people as quickly as we would like. My firm strives to return calls the same day or the following day at the latest. Most are returned the same day. Bott and Co have done a fantastic job for the consumer and I feel sure that if you persevere with them, you will get a satisfactory response.

Indeed on the BBC Radio Moneybox program last Saturday, a representative of Bott & Co said they were working really hard as it was the busiest month ever for them, given the SC ruling....

.... In view of the work for Huzar, I think we can cut them a bit of slack....

Will you be handing over 30% of any compensation you receive to Bott &Co in recognition of the work they have done in relation to Huzar and Dawson?

    What a silly question ...
  • What a silly response.....fd1972uk is handing 30% to Bott &Co and has a right to question their delay in progressing his claim.

Good question but the answer is NO as Bott & Co are not representing me, as I've done the research, spent hours on here reading the posts and I'm trying very hard to get to grips with EC261 regs not to mention the two flaming legs of Wallentin! -edit - oops think it's limbs isn't it? See never really got to grips with it.

But do you know, if I'd have realised from the beginning how hard Jet2 were going to make my fight to receive what I believe is due under the regs, then yes in the beginning, perhaps it would have been easier to use Bott & Co.

If Bott & Co had not taken on the Huzar case, I don't think Mr Huzar would have invested the necessary cash to take his case further and I'm sure you've read the latest good news about some airlines finally starting to pay up since the Supreme Court decision all made possible by the determination of Mr Ronald Huzar and his legal team Bott & Co.

I would still say if you read Vaubans guide, then it's perfectly possible to represent yourself, as I'm doing.

It's down to the time you're prepared to put aside to pursue matters!

I'm not advocating using Bott & Co, but respectfully acknowledge that many of the success stories that we are reading about would not have been possible without them.

    Cheers,

Of course anyone has the right to chase Bott & Co up, I was just acknowledging that they will be extremely busy and perhaps cut them a bit of slack, but yeah hassle them if you need to!

Novice, me thinks skidmarks was being a tad facetious in his remark,
Bott & Co will have all their costs paid by Jet2 and Thomson via Huzar and Dawson and are now able to reap the rewards with the, I suspect, thousands of cases backlogged due to the airlines beligerance and procrastination.
To suggest that we should be also making a contribution to Bott for having done some hard and challenging legal work is disingenuous and a specious argument.
