Does any popular site allow spamming to remain for very long?
Most other forums are actively moderated (as well as having a report feature). We're led to believe this site relies on offending items being reported before they are reviewed, hence possibly why the spammers like this site so much.
On some sites (and I don't think this site is any different) people nowadays prefer to let the spam and other nonsense that often goes on remain - have you looked at HUKD site recently as a prime example?
You have answered your own question.
I think they probably post in the early hours of the morning in the hope that the post won't get spotted, and marked as spam.I too have given up with reporting anything to the ForumTeam here. It's just too much trouble I'm afraid.
Another reason why it is better to just click the spam button.0 -

If you highlight the bit you failed to in the middle, and then include that so to ensure the context of my post is not taken out of context, you'll understand why I didn't answer my own question
i.e. other forums are actively moderated
(To clarify, by 'people' I meant users/readers in general, but excluding moderators whose job is specifically to action offending posts accordingly)0 -

I think you missed my point:Does any popular site allow spamming to remain for very long?
I know what you are saying however.0
