i am with autoaid and used them onnce ...no probs.
but need to renew very soon...is this norich union deal open to anyone ??

i was deciding to renew autoaid, but got joint cover with norich union for £55 for 14mths!!

(I was happy with autoaid, but with driving all over the uk...rac cover is more peace of mind).

Just rang Norwich Union Direct today 23-8-05 for breakdown cover got a qoute for £60 for rescue and recovery then asked them to recalculate giving them the code CQM1 and it halved to £30, my car is an 11 year old Astra Hatch, the code obviously still works. One thing to note though is you are NOT covered for recovery in an accident! just breakdown. As i am fully comp with Norwich im covered anyway but people need to be aware of this.

are you sure that it does not help with recovery in accident, when i asked on the phone they said its full recovery in accident and breakdown.

Recovery after an accident is only included if you have comprehensive motor insurance with NU - I've just read my policy document. As the discount code is meant to be used by NU motor insurance customers, this may be why you have been told it is covered.

Towing following an accident, fire, theft or act of vandalism or other incident is normally covered by your motor insurance. If you have comprehensive motor insurance with Norwich Union we can arrange this for you, if you have Third party fire and theft cover we can arrange this but you may be charged for this service. If your motor insurance is not with Norwich Union you will be liable to pay us the costs of removal. (Subject to the terms of your motor insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these costs through your motor insurance)"

In previous posts it has been recommended to call Norwich Union, quoting the discount code, after 9pm so the call is routed through to the Indian call centre but I'm going through to a call centre here. Has anyone recently had problems with getting this code applied if routed through to a call centre here? I'm worried I'm going to get asked some awkward questions!!
