If drug taking (incl alcohol abuse) is as rife and an every day recreational activity as some posters are telling us then that explains all the rage incidents and hostile aggression that we see in society today and didn't see 50 years ago.

    How do people function?
How do people's drug induced mood changes affect the poor children watching them.
Aren't there better things to spend money on?

Do you actually know what recreational drug use is?

Dunroamin, you're absolutely right, I would be surprised.

I must be so out of touch. Not that I mind - I don't want to be involved in that kind of life.

Why do you think that recreational drug use makes people hostile and aggressive?

I cannot believe the ignorance displayed here when it comes to taking drugs, some of you actually think that when on drugs people are wandering about like zombies - well they're not, they look like you and act like you.

People take drugs for all kinds of reasons, just like they take alcohol. Taking drugs doesn't mean you are sad, lonely, depressed etc, taking drugs can be done recreationally, I've been there in the past and I can assure you nobody was unhappy to start with, folk like a buzz now and again, to feel good, it's that simple.

Remember too, coke was found in 42 out of 46 toilets in the House of Commons, go figure.

I'm guessing its using drugs occasionally as a leisure activity. As opposed to being addicted and having to use them in order to function.

I'm thinking the chemical residues stay in the brain tissue and blood (the more you take, the more it accumulates and kills off or distorts brain cells) and they affect your reasoning and personality and over time detrimentally affect physical functions too. (alcohol similarly)

    Any activity can be destructive.

I am sorry you find yourself in this situation. It must be awful.

The bottom line is that your husband has lied to you more than once in respect of his drug use and been unfaithful. The foundation of any relationship is trust and, in your case, this has been eroded. If you do not confront the situation nothing will change and the life you have now will be the life you have in the future. Perhaps its time for that difficult conversation with your husband where you address these issues and give him nowhere to hide. At least you'll know at that point if you have anything to save.

do you suspect he is also having an affair again (just wondering if the drugs improve his sex drive?)

leave him, before its too late, you have "lost" one son to drugs, dont let that happen again,

Surely that is a MASSIVE reason to not take drugs????? You might end up like one of the vermin that resides within!
