I wouldn't know where to begin if I decided to start taking drugs! Where to go, what to ask for, how much I could expect to pay and how to actually take them! I struggle to know what to ask for in the butchers!
I would need to do some research online to find the best price, see what ratings the drug dealers have (y'know, reliability, speed of delivery, customer service etc etc!), fill a virtual basket with my purchases, then inspect the packaging details, full list of ingredients, and finally a full set of instructions. And of course their Returns Policy. All before committing to my purchase
I live a simple life - a strong coffee is all I need to get me going when I have a slump and a nice glass of wine when I'm relaxing. How the other half? three quarters? live!0 -

"Any more posts you want to make on something you obviously know very little about?"
Is an actual reaction to my posts, so please don't rely on anything I say.

Taking drugs doesn't mean you are any different to anyone else, we all get our kicks our own way and we all have our limits/likes/dislikes, I don't define someone by the amount of drugs/alcohol they consume, I judge them on how I find them, that's it. And tbh, unless you have experienced it, you don't really know.0 -
Any user who doesn't want to stop will come out with the 'it's a friend's' explanation. Obviously he knows you'd dump him if he 'fessed up - what else was he going to say?
Speed is used by people not just for getting off their tits and dancing for hours - shift workers, on call workers, anyone who could be feeling the effects of disrupted sleep patterns - and people who want to lose weight (they were originally prescribed freely by GPs as diet drugs).
It could be an occasional thing for when he's feeling absolutely knackered but still has several hours of work to complete or has to drive long distances. Obviously none of this is saying that it's OK to do it - but it's only a few people that shamble around looking like they've just crawled out of a wheelie bin, and usually that's when they've got into speedballing heroin and coke and/or meth - a huge number of users look no different from anybody else.
He's cheated and he's got himself a pastime that you've already said would end your marriage. He won't admit to those things for precisely that reason.
Ball's in your court.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Dunroamin, you're absolutely right, I would be surprised.
I must be so out of touch. Not that I mind - I don't want to be involved in that kind of life.
If drug taking (incl alcohol abuse) is as rife and an every day recreational activity as some posters are telling us then that explains all the rage incidents and hostile aggression that we see in society today and didn't see 50 years ago.
How do people function?
How do people's drug induced mood changes affect the poor children watching them.
Aren't there better things to spend money on?
People have been taking substances since the beginning of time.
Its certainly not an activity that's just happened in the last 50 years or so.
And if you do some reading about alcohol abuse 100 or so years ago you'll see that people did commit crime while under the influence and many did jail time for it.
Millions of people around the world take drugs every single day.
There are people who take drugs such as heroin who manage to hold down jobs, not everyone fits the stereotypical junkie profile.
Drugs were also given to soldiers during the Vietnam war.
If people look at the way certain other European countries deal with substance misuse, they are streets ahead of us.
By the way Im not a drug user nor am I a heavy drinker and its not a pleasant situation that the OP is in. But she needs to deal with him taking drugs and lying. Only she can make those decisions
By the way, many people take drugs for the first time while they are under the influence of alcohol.0 -

You already did catch him out. You found drugs in hes possession and he have admitted to them. Whatever hes intent was regarding the drugs is anyone guess, and even if he does tell you a story, would you be able to trust it.0
